Wow, I was just thinking yesterday how pleased I am so far with the Cisco lr306 i've been pulling on for the last 3 weeks. Today I'm thinking I should have kept my mind shut. Seemed to be dying off.

Not yet it says. Pulled battery out and was metered at 2.57v. 2.57v???? What???? Have only been using for about an hour and not chaining either. Kinda worried that this one is about done. Little nervous about charging that badboy up again. Anyone else have the same problem?

Consistently come off charger at 4.25v.

i was using it in my Reo mini.

Any danger of venting?

Yep, I'm sure it's done. Battery light remains green on the charger.

What are the disposal recommendations?

Where I am, there's a designated location to drop off "household hazardous waste". No batteries of any sort are allowed to go with the regular trash. I can't speak for anywhere else, check with your local town hall and/or whomever picks up your trash.

Good point. Below is my county's guidelines:

Bring lithium, button and rechargeable nickel cadmium (Ni-Cd) batteries to The Recycling Zone or one of the businesses listed below. These batteries are used in items such as flashlights, radios, calculators, watches, hearing aids, phones, power tools, cell phones, pagers, musical greeting cards and balloons, camcorders, toys, PDAs, and handheld electronics. they better edit this to include PVs

You can throw non-chargeable in the trash.

How old was it ??

I'm going on 5 or 6 months rotating 3 of them.

EDIT: But I have 5 other 18650 REOs so you know they don't get used all that much :)

I'm just rotating 2. Had them for 2 months now. so, there's a month average if the other one fails now. Looks like your running almost 2 month on ave.

Meter that atty. I had that happen to a well used Cisco 306LR, the spring on my mini REO half collapsed beforeI caught it, battery was fine, atty metered at .2. The resistance can drop over time with use.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on it. Seems to meter fine. 1.4-1.5.ohm
