Well I followed the advice I was given from my last posts and ordered some aw button top batts. They are working way more consistently and last all day long. So just want to say thanks for the good advice every one. Now I just need to order a few more and find a use for these flat top efest batts.

RG,

Which AWs did you get? The 1600, 2000, or 2200MaH?

Thanks

I'd charge them and keep for backup on road trips or camping.

Like bushmaster said 16500 dependent flashlights are great and don't need many amps like our Reos do but you gotta watch that you don't over discharge them. Most lights these days have step down where the light dims at low batt levels but some don't.

I stay away from Efests, because they overstate the battery capabilities and use meaningless pulse ratings instead of continuous discharge ones.

That's no problem if you vape 'reasonable' coils, but if you are a lung burner like me, running deep sub-Ohm coils then it's not a good idea to find out your 35A battery can, in fact, only handle 20A.

When i started vaping and i used tanks and so on, they were good enough and cheap enough to use all the time and i never had one fail.

all that's true

i bought a buttload bunch in a co-op a while back, before i knew about their inflated ratings. even tho i don't sub-ohm often, they just don't hold a charge as well as any battery without "fire" in its name.

ETA: never use a battery with "fire" in it's name...

I bought a set of batteries when I got my VF clone that are rewrapped (by the B&M showing their logo) that list the efests as 35A, but say that they are the rewrapped efest. I'm guessing it's the 20A continuous and 35A pulse...but the more I thought about it, the more I didn't trust them, so now they sit in the drawer. Maybe I'll have to get a flashlight. lol

I have some non AW batteries that I have run in my Reo...

A Sony VTC 4, Samsung 25R, Subohm 35amp, and an LG HE2. In addition to that I have 6 AW1600s.
I can attest that the above non AW batteries are all 3-6 months old and all are a disappointment compared to the performance of my AWs. 2 of my AWs are 14 months old and 4 are 10 months old. They have all been running .5 ohm builds. I was going to replace them after a year of use and retire them for flashlight use, but to be honest... even at their age they are superior to the Sony, Sammy, Subohm and LG.

The Aw 1600 runs just as long as the above 2500 mah cells, or at least they seem to. By the way, the Sony is the worst of them all, followed by the Subohm, the Lg and the Sammy.

Its gonna be AW from now on for this kid.

Thanks,
Geo
