Is there really as much Mod snobbery in the vaping community as this article seems to suggests? While the only thing that remains of my original Ego is the charger. I replaced the battery with a Spinner. The Vision 2 clearamizer with the Phoenix BCC. And added a swivel tip. And while I consider myself a hacker I am very much of the KISS school of thought.
I wouldn't call it "snobbery". For many, the eGo style batteries are the perfect entry for vaping. Many of us realize that while those batteries are OK, there's much better stuff out there that do a better job. I was using eGo-C Twists (1000mAh) for a month before I got disgusted with swapping them out 3 times a day and got a Vamo.

1000mah burning out 3 times a day? Wow that's a lot of vaping!
As much as I appreciate the higher end mods, and as much as I have to keep charging my Twists (not 3 times a day tho), I refuse to go bigger. A 1000 mah Twist is the best "large" battery size for me. Maybe one day I'll splurge on something larger for at home use, but for now I'm quite content.
I still love the "subculture", think it's amazing and the above article is bang on.
The e-smoking "subculture" is driving the FDA absolutely NUTS
because it knows it can't control it, regulate it, and of course...
more importantly can't kill the vaping movement.
Message to the FDA from the "subculture" ...
Take your best shot ... We ain't going anywhere !!
