Great article. I only have one problem with it.

The individually wrapped e-cigarettes you’ll find at a gas station all have these parts, though you wouldn’t know it by looking at them. These products, made popular by brands like Blu or njoy, are generally designed to look like tobacco cigarettes. They are often disposable, meaning the battery cannot be recharged, and it’s often impossible to re-fill the e-juice once it runs out. In other words, they are complete pieces of crap.

I would not call them that. Heck NJoy gave me my leg up and let me discover vaping. If I HAVE to I will buy and NJoy wehn all else fails. Sure Now they are not what I would vape, but as an emergency? You betcha!

Nice find oxygen thief!

This has been posted quite a bit.

What I love about this subculture is like how very deep in the woods people get.

You could take a guy who was an accountant with zero electrical knowledge 3 months ago at harbor freight tools looking for wire and mesh and rebuilding his own sub 1 ohm atties. He's discussing pg/vg ratio with a guy who's pierced out the wazoo, has a devil beard and 85 tatts. They become best online buddies lol.

This hobby is crazy like that.

My guess would be either the author is repeating what one of the mod-toters told them, or they are a vapor. You don't just automatically jump to the piece of crap conclusion without experience, personal or transferred.

But you are right, in a pinch anything is better than a stinky! :)

Actually I'm about to do a video for Youtube directed the the new vaper or the vape-curious and I am going to emphasize that while MODs and twist and all that jazz are really cool and help us bring vaping to a new and more individualized level. They don't really need anything more then a basic cigalike to get into the vaping world and some people even stick with um. I would hate to see a smoker disregard vaping because they don't want to deal with all this VV/RBA/tank vs clearo stuff and get the impression that you have to.

Please DO make that video.

ECF is great and I love the hobby end of this, but I often get the feeling we advanced users are befuddling the newbs or the curious.

If you do a pretty good job, it could be a go-to resource for newbs.

I recall reading those "wonderful world of vaping" posts back when I started 2 years ago. It was great in that it took all the mystery out of ecf and gave me some simple talking bare bones knowledge. They also made a point of not using all these goody abbreviations that lead an outsider to believe we are speaking another language.

Those posts were great but I think they are now outdated because of the newer products. No one is really using the atomizer/cartridge set up anymore for example.
