They feature a bottom fed (horizontal) coil. The simplistic design allows the user to pop the cap off easily and fill by dripping down the inside of the tank.

The only two main things in my opinion would effect flavor such as a burnt taste with this type of tank would be vaping over 3.7 volts since the resistance (ohms) of the tanks are set optimally for KR808D-1 devices.

I have experienced a burnt taste when using these on my KR808D-1 (5 volt) passthrough... it can be nasty!

The burnt taste usually goes away almost immedietely when I switch back to a lesser voltage.

2nd most common cause for a burnt taste on the clear and Easy's would be attributed to the type of e-liquid your using. Some e-liquids that contain sweeteners and/or other additives from my own experience can produce a burnt taste due to the e-liquid eventually caramelizing and thus hardening on the coil itself.

I can't comment on the CE2's that you described as I dont have any personal experience using them.
