Hey Lovely Vapers,

I'm just a newbie and started to use a regulated box mod for the first time, I had ordered ipv D3 with the AWT IMR 3.7V 18650 Battery 40A (recommended by vendor)

Once received I read the user manual of the D3 and see the "Input Current" is 1.3A-35A only, so I'm a little bit worried that the 40A battery I'm using might risk myself?

So my question is, Can I use the battery with over current the device required?

Thanks!

That 40 amp is not a true 40 amp. That is 40 amp Pulse.

Get some good 20-25 amp batteries and keep tge ohms at. 5 and above.

From what I've read, per @Mooch those are rated at 25 amps, if they are the yellow ones. I can't find any testing on the red ones though!

AWT Red 40A 3000mAh 18650
AWT 40A 3000mAh 18650 Bench Retest Results...only a 20A battery, damaged at over 30A

Good up to 60 watts.

Thanks ! I was recommended the LGHE 4, is that good?
The HE4 is a fine cell, as is its close cousin the HE2. Either one will serve you well, and both are 20A, 2500mAh batteries. A most similar product, with about 20% longer life between charges, would be the Samsung 30Q, a 20A, 3000mAh cell.
