Ugh why do manufacturers keep labelling their batteries as 35A when they'd be more accurate if labeled 20A? It's misleading to consumers and someone's gonna hurt themselves, not even necessarily within the vape community (non-vapers use these batteries too, y'know.)

How do they even get away with it? Isn't it false advertising?

Supposedly they can handle short periods of 35a, and a continuous 20a. Of course, that would.be under ideal lab conditions with the best testing brand new battery they can find.

Seems pretty shady to me.

Like if I was selling you a car and I was like, "Yeah this car can reach 180 miles an hour (if you're going down a hill large enough to reach those speeds)."

It would only be false advertising if the label was directly misleading, meaning it would need to say "Continuous discharge rating 35A". Legally they're perfectly within their right to disclose whatever amount of information on the subject they want, they don't even legally need to put the amperage specifications on the battery at all. It appears from the positive pole and how it looks that the 35A 2500mah AWT battery is a Samsung 25R re-wrapped.
