Hello people, I know I have been laying out some negative comments on Backwoods Brew and I have to say, I must eat some Humble Pie on this one. I have the 3 juices lying around for about 10 days and wow, these juices have finally awakened. I could not have been more wrong.

The 555, honey-flue and honey-flue nut are definite 9's all around. I would give them 10's if the floral was completely gone, but it is still there at a much lower tone. I really enjoy vaping these juices, I can now taste the difference among the 3 which I was not able to do before. The vapor is outstanding for a 70/30 pg/vg and so is the th.

Bottom line, I would definitely recommend these juices and I would buy them again unless they know who I am and the juice would just get lost in the mail. I gave this house alot of criticism, I was wrong.

Also, I am going to start diying and was just wondering. The people out there that diy their juice. My question is

Do you think that the juice you make is as good or better than the juice you purchased from the vendors before you went to diy. I understand there is a tremendous amount of money to be saved, but how is the vaping.

Personally, I had a few juices which I thought were awful and played around mixing them and they actually taste worse. I would hate to start diying just to make lousy juice. I know it must be a skill, but I am sure there are people whose juices are just not that good. They vape them so they can save money. I did that with analogs so I assume the same thing goes on with diying.

This is just a question that I was interested in.

This is a nice positive post. One other thing, The VAPOR FORUM is for savages. At least here, the members have some type of reason to attack you. On the VF, they do it just because they can...very sad place.

I noticed the same with BWB. I really disliked the flavors I got at first and they really improved a lot. Something which hasn't happened with the other vendors I tried. I am pretty new to DIY as well so I cannot really offer much on that subject. I have some tobacco flavors on the way, but so far I have been DIYing fruit and dessert flavors which have been comparable or better then juices I have tried from vendors. I think that control on exactly how much flavoring you use is the reason for this. I anticipate a much harder time mixing a good tobacco flavor. Hopefully someone experienced can chime in with a good answer there.

FRANKSTER, I'm waiting few juices from BWB and just to be prepared, did you leave your juices uncapped for 10 days?

I was reading your previous "negative" threads and I can't agree more. Unless some magic happens, steeping, taste buds etc... out of 30 juices I can vape only one or two, rest are just hmmm.. I dont even know what they are, chemical perfumey floral cologne substances.

I have been trying my hand at DIY and I'll be honest... The juice I make is horrible compared to what I buy. I keep making 3ml batches, try them out when I first make them and get a very harsh throat hit. I let them sit on my counter in hopes that when I try it again it won't be as bad and it's still the same. Harsh throat hit. The only way I can describe it is that it scratches/burns the back of my throat. Like I'm becoming sick or something. With some the flavor is good, but that damn harshness isn't worth it. I currently have about six 3ml bottles sitting on my bar counter. Some have been there for a month. I keep trying them hoping it will get better.

With that said, I've found a juice (shout out to Vape-A-Licious and STL Gooey Butter Cake) that I vape all day everyday for the past month. I'm happy with it and honestly could see myself just buying this in bulk and not caring about any other flavors.

Yes, I left them uncapped for 10 days. The floral taste is still around, but do not ask me why, it seems to go with the sweet honey. I cannot even begin to say what tobacco this taste like because I do not taste a tobacco, not one that I have ever had before. The only thing I know for sure, at 70/30 24mg...There is a great th and plenty of vaper. Also the draw is so easy as opposed to other juices that I have tried. I think that 70/30 seems to be just the right combo.

I am afraid of that also...making something terrible...I will give it the best try I can, if not, I will just go back to the vendors and try to vape just what I think is real good. You went from a smoker to Gooey Butter Cake. I think that is funny.

Good to hear Frank. Many of us already knew that would be the case.
And, thank you for manning up.

    About the VF thing;
If someone comes onto ecf with an agenda it usually doesn't take long for them to find posts getting deleted, time in the penalty box, and sometimes suspensions.
On VF, since they don't delete threads and stuff, that same someone simply gets roasted.
Be a first time poster selling stuff in the classies on VF and see what happens, here on ecf a first time poster can't post in the classies.
In the end it pretty much comes out the same. VF is just more like walking into Joe's Bar instead of Burger King.
Here, just like there, you can always put someone on ignore if you find them somehow offensive.

I just got the Virgina Tobacco from BWB and it's tastes very close to the real thing to me. Very tobacco flavored. It's good and it's only been here for two days. The Cherrywood from BWB is probably my favorite juice now, I've been overvaping it.

I like a couple of flavors from Johnson Creek, but other than that, I don't think I'll be buying juice from anyone else for awhile. I've wasted way too much money and to have a vendor with a juice I really like and can buy smaller bottles of other flavors to try will really lower my frustration and costs.

BWB also seems to ship very quickly.

    I see.
I maintain high hopes that something similar will happen to me and one day all chemical/perfumey flavors will go away.

In regards to DIY, non-tobacco flavors are relatively easy to imitate to some vapable degree. The tobaccos, if you like the house extracted non perfumey type, will not be duplicated by any tobacco flavorings sold out there. I tried many and can only stand a few. The DIY has been good to me though for sweet flavors which I like too. I will be getting tobacco flavors premade only.

Do you think that the juice you make is as good or better than the juice you purchased from the vendors before you went to diy. I understand there is a tremendous amount of money to be saved, but how is the vaping.

I have been able to make a few juices which are IMO as good as anything out there, at least to my taste. A couple are entirely my creation, the others are variations on recipes by fellow DIYers. Only one involves tobacco.

Tobacco flavors are the hardest to deal with since they require lengthy steeping times before maturing to a stable flavor. It takes patience to come up with something you like, so be prepared to spend 2 months mixing, steeping and tasting test batches before you can achieve a vapable juice from scratch. Tip: start with Inawera flavorings rather than FlavourArt.

I recommend E-Liquid Recipes for beginning DIYers. Look through the recipes, find some which sound tasty and have favorable comments from other users, then buy the exact ingredients to make those. Reproducing successful recipes will give you good practice in measuring and mixing and should result in juice you can actually vape right from the start. It also gives you experience with the strengths of the flavorings involved, very important later when planning your own recipes. Tip: keep accurate notes on everything you make.

Definitely use the DIY E-Liquid Forum for detailed info on mixing juices; you will save time, money and frustration by searching for answers and requesting advice here.

Good thread Frankster! For awhile I thought you were about to give up on vaping!

Most of BWB fruity flavors are all Perfumers Apprentice flavorings, the Peach is my all day vape, would cost me almost 100 bux for every 6 bottles of 30ml at a time, then i bought the stuff to make it myself and now it costs me about 15 bux for every 6 x 30ml bottles :p

Actually, I was thinking similar to what you said about the fruity juices coming from Perfumers Apprentice, I was thinking that the tobacco flavors came from PA because of the floral taste. I think PA has 3 tobaccos and they all state that they have that floral taste.

It didn't happen for me. Does anyone want to swap with me?
I want 12 mg. or so now, I think 18 mg. is too high.

    I have for trade:
18 mg BWB Vanilla Bean, Malty Toffee, Strawberry, Peach if anyone is interested.

I have part of a bottle of 12 mg Tasty Vapor waffle. I have the doubler, too. You can pm me if you're interested. If not, you won't have to wait long for a good trade to come along.
