It doesn't take much to get you excited about stuff, Ms. BoomBoom. :p

You are the one who turned me on to BWB and ecigs. I never thought I would like flavors until I tried their stuff. It's all your fault, Boomboom, I spend too much money on liquids. And too much money at cignot for supplies. I don't think I'm ever going to break even and start saving money.

My 2 favorites are the Menthol tobacco and the Dulce de Leche. I also like the Vanilla Bean and Carmel Cappuccino. Last night I ordered a 15 ml bottle of Menthol tobacco Medium and Dulce de Leche. I ordered 10 ml bottles of Applewood, the Maple, strong menthol tobacco, and Malty Toffee to broaden my taste horizons.

I have also found that BWB's liquids improve with age. Although they are usually fine right out of the mail. I'm thinking this order I just might leave in the package in the cubbard for a week or so. But no guarantees.

My order # is 853. So hopefully it should be in the mail Monday based on his post today in his ordering thread.

Steeping helps bring out the flavors. Leaving the cap off for 24 hours, allowing oxygen in, helps speed up the steeping process. Keep liquids in dark, cool places, but not in the refrigerator.

Exactly, taste is impossible to predict. Many LOVE Wyatt Earp from FSUSA and think it is the best thing ever. Me? Not so much. I do not like it and doubt I ever will.

This is why providing advice on liquid is very difficult, at best.

You're right! I received the Wyatt Earp sample over a month ago and didn't like it that well. When I vaped it a couple of days ago, I really liked it and decided I would buy some when I order from FSUSA again (in about 5 months). Allowing liquids to sit for a week does work. The color gets darker and the flavor is much better (maybe not in all cases, though).

I'll also be ordering Applewood from BWB, since I've seen so many recommendations for that flavor...and it sounds like my mixture of FSUSA's RY4 and Apple.

Get out! Are you serious!? Have you tried the Applewood straight out of the mailbox?

edit: I made a mistake by saying ALL custom brews need to steep. I just remembered that the wife got some of BWB Peach flavor and even though I don't like peaches, that stuff was amazing on day one. So yep... I can see how SOME custom brews can be enjoyed straight out of the mailbox.

btw Lynda.... You didn't by chance go to high school in a small town in NY did you? You look VERY familiar.

I've never been to NY. I graduated from a small town high school in Arkansas. You wouldn't believe how many people tell me I look familiar, but I swear, I haven't been that many places.:)

I keep my liquids in a kitchen cabinet that stay cool and downright cold in the winter but not as cold as my frig. I'll try leaving the caps off of them for 24 hours and see if that improves the flavors. Does leaving the cap of for 24 hours mean I'll be able to vape them sooner? Should I be doing that with any flavor I get from any supplier?

I have wondered about keeping them in the frig. What happens if you do that? The reason I asked is that a bottle of VG menthol liquid I got from cignot said on it to keep in a cool dark place or the frig for extended life.

Also, why a dark place? How long can they be kept out of the dark place?

Heat and light tends to break down any liquid and has a negative impact on the flavor. My hubby forgot and left one of his bottles in our van while he was at work and the temp was 100+ (as it was most of the summer in this area). The liquid turned dark and the flavor just wasn't up to par after that. He still vaped it but was very happy when he got a fresh new bottle. I would think that the sunlight and heat might break down the nic too but I'm just guessing on that one.

I've read a lot of recommendations to remove the cap for 24 hours (including David from FSUSA) to allow oxygen inside. I would think that would help the liquid to steep quicker, and yes, vape sooner.

I've read on ECF that someone kept his liquids in the frig, and he had a problem with them a few months later. To be honest, I'd have to find that thread to remember his problem and what happens to liquids when stored in the frig. Well, I found the thread by searching here for the word "refrigerator." See message #4 in the following thread:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/18072-storing-e-liquid.html

I believe I've read that sunlight can cause liquids to lose their nicotine strength. This might be in the above thread, which I recommend that you read.

There's also a YouTube video by ShanBurkholder "steeping tips and tricks":

YouTube - Steeping Tips and Tricks

And here's another recent ECF thread regarding "steeping":

It seems that everybody and their brother have been talking about how Don's juice needs to steep. Is there a list of all his juices that are preferable to steep and which ones are as good day one as 3 weeks later? I placed an order for 8 different flavors and just want to know which will be great out of the mail box and which ones I need to stick in the cupboard. I ordered malty toffee, applewood, vanilla, peach, cappucinno, pumpkin spice, ejoker and waffle. Thanks.

I just got them juice in the mail today. I couldn't wait to try it.. got a brand spanking new carto out and filled with Applewood. Didn't taste much of apple nor wood  ... very very light apple in the background. I'll let it steep few days before i try it again. I got malty, peach, pumpkin, casablanca, honey flue and cherry tobacco. Should I steep all, any of them good to go as is?

I have to read the thread anytime i see Whiskey post just to see what hot avatar she has up...hmmm... not bad, and i am suchhhh a legs guy too... LOL.

LOL. I was just thinking the same thing!

And too reiterate my earlier retraction about ALL BWB needing to steep as I corrected myself a few post later. No... Not ALL need to age but my taste buds got knock all to hell on the Applewood when I tried it straight out of the mail box. But as has been said many times taste is VERY subjective and varies greatly from person to person. So imho everyone new to BWB SHOULD have at it on day one and if it's not to your liking just put it away for a week or 2 and you will be amazed at the transformation. I know I was!

BTW... Is it just me or does everyone else feel like a crack ..... running to the mailbox the day we get our new supply of juice? lol

Happy vaping ya'll ! :vapor:

OK
I may have to just order some BWB and try it. Not really liking my FSUSA much. They taste peppery... not sure if it is because it is fresh or what. I do not like Wyatt Earp, but that is simply a taste thing.

For the people that have tried both FSUSA and BWB, is BWB like that fresh also? Trying to figure out what I like... Not sure what i have is going to work for me.

I am pretty sure that my mailman thinks I have the hots for him. He is now bringing it to my door. Today I got an order of direct from the manufacturer fluecured tobacco. Am I correct in thinking that this is steeped already and is as good as it is going to get? I am so glad my BWB has already been shipped.

There is no telling what it is since it isn't labeled. It has a weird funk to it. On the bright side it is way better than the pre filled cartos I've been using. I was hoping to hear someone say that the generic cheap stuff tastes great after a couple of days.

Well, if you want to fill your closet with cheap juice you can get 50ml of Dekang for $11. That is like $3 bucks a week... lol.
