Expectation – Based on the description and knowledge of the vendor I was expecting an authentic peach fruit taste, not a “candy” peach, with a touch of sweetness.
Experience – The flavor of Backwoods Brew’s Peach is like biting into an ideal peach fruit. It has layers of flavor that all compile to create that essence of peach without tasting manufactured or candy-like. It is not super sweet but is the essential flavor of the peach separated from the sugar of the fruit. The flavor does have substance, however, and occasionally you might find yourself smacking your lips to add extra savor to this succulent e-juice.
Given the lightness and subtlety of the flavor, this juice can be easily overwhelmed by a recent tooth brushing or a heavy meal but is greatly complemented by the recent consumption of a sweet beverage or dessert. A tall glass of sweet iced tea is particularly good with this vape.
Grade – 9/10*
Throat Hit:
Expectation – Moderate Throat Hit
Experience – I was surprised by the throat hit of this e-juice. Despite the fact that it is smooth, almost velvety on the throat there is a definite presence but certainly no bite. I would rate this as just below a moderate throat hit.
Grade – 8/10*
Vapor:
Expectation – Moderate Vapor
Experience – For a 30% VG mix I felt I received more vapor than expected. It is nearly on par with what you would get from an American Spirit cigarette (which is less than a Marlboro). There were no clouds of vapor but I didn’t feel like anything was missing from the ritual of “smoking”.
Grade – 10/10*
Conclusion:
I really enjoyed this e-juice and if my wife was writing the review it would have been a perfect ten. I intend to ensure that I keep this one on hand and must say that the complexity and deepness of the flavor grows over time. It is certainly not for someone who is seeking a sweet or bold flavored peach.
*NOTE: All grades were based on the established expectation I had for the particular e-juice being graded. A higher rating therefore is an indication that the rated characteristic was closer to the ideal. For instance, a higher rating for vapor would not mean more vapor but rather that the vapor was closer to the ideal I wanted when I bought this particular e-juice.
