Ok so I am a new vaper and recently got my starter kit. This is where I got my juice and kit from: JUICY! eJuice | JUICY! eStick ! JUICY! eJuice - Best e-Liquid. Couple of questions for everyone on ECF. Have you tried any of the juices from Juicy E-juice? If so how did it taste? Mine tastes horrible. I have 3 different flavors from them (Menthol, Mint Chocolate, Raspberry) and all of them have a weird chemically taste to them. As I said I am new vaper and who knows, maybe that's the way it's supposed to taste, although I doubt it because the disposable menthol e-cig I bought tasted good. I know there is something going on with the juice as my clearomizers were bone dry when I got them (no primer in them) and I let all the juices soak the wicks for a good 30 minutes before trying to vape them. I was also very careful when filling them to ensure no juice got down the center air hole. I also have 3 clearomizers one for each of the 3 flavors I have, so no cross contamination has occurred. I am currently steeping the juices in an attempt to make them vapable. What have been your results with steeping a nasty batch of juice?

Just wondering if anyone else has some nasty juice stories like this. I plan on trying a different brand of juice for my next order but I am currently stuck with these until I can place the order on Friday and await their arrival.

Looking forward to all your thoughts on this and to read your nasty juice stories!

From what I understand, if they have been sitting in plastic bottles for some time, you might actually be getting the taste of the plastic which is breaking down due to the acidity of the juices.

I've found that I prefer the flavors from vendors who either ship in glass bottles or cook to order so the liquid hasn't been sitting in plastic for weeks.

I'd try a different vendor if I were you.

I've certainly had my share of nasty juices. Especially the stuff that is mass produced and relabeled from China. I have found that companies that mix-to-order have some of the best juices out there. I have been vaping Groove-E-Juice for 6 months straight now. They custom mix every order so you know it's fresh. By far one of the best companies I've found. Good luck!

I have to say, I have been in your shoes. I got some eliquid from a very reputable vendor when I first started vaping and one of the flavors I got was absolutely horrible. It seems that vendors like to say "flavor is subjective" and leave it at that. I DO believe it's possible to get a bad bottle of ejuice!!!

I looked over the site you ordered from and I notice they don't have any reviews at all that I could see. I have never used any of their products.

Don't give up my friend!! There are some really good flavors and excellent vendors out there. Best of luck in your search!! I agree with trying another vendor!!

Yeah I am beginning to think they are just not good juices. However I was hanging out in TVN and mentioned this issue and someone who lives a few hours from me decided to hook me up with a vaping care package. Absolutely blown away by the vaping community. I also placed a rather sizable order at Vapor Geek (a reputable Canadian vendor) and should get that sometime next week. Either way I am stuck on the icky juice for now but I am stubborn enough to vape through it instead of going back to analogs. Been 36 hrs and I still have a half-pack of cigs that I have no desire to smoke.

I'd let them steep for awhile if they were a fresh batch. A few vendors I've bought from either had a weird perfume taste or hardly any taste, and I ordered a decent sized sample size from a vendor and all of them tasted the same. After I let it steep for a month, it ALL tasted pretty awesome. Some I won't be ordering just because I didn't particularly like the flavor of... But they did taste like what the flavors said it would taste like. After that, whenever I order juice, I let it sit in a drawer for a month (shaking every other day or so) before I open them. Which is why I buy a lot of juice at a time, and order when I feel my current stash will run out in a month.

Menthol, Mint Chocolate, Raspberry

Menthol cig juices can taste like medicated cough drops if done wrong, Smoke NV menthol disposable is a good example.

Mint and chocolate in artificial form can be awful and usually is, especially chocolate.

Rasberry like other berry flavors tend to taste awful in their artificial form, like medicine.

Clearomizers, in my experience, leech chemical tastes from the plastics into the juice and the rubber cap covering the coil can be mounted too close and burn, releasing toxic burning rubber fumes.

The need for steeping is a definite possibility but to my experience a vender with really good juice recipies can be difficult to find and clearomizers require alot of tinkering to get them to work right.

Order some Boge LR 2ohm 510 thread cartomizers and some various samples from Jugheads and you will have a much more enjoyable experience.

Got some Boge LR cartos in my order and a pair of DCT V2 Tanks, along with an Ego Twist Battery. I decided to get away from the Clearomizer for now, and I am going to try the juices direct drip on an atty (which I also have coming) to see if the taste is the Clearomizer or the juice itself.

Boge cartos are the recommendation that I make when I am talking with a new vaper. I am not a clearo fan but lots of people swear by em, I just dont like the flavor that comes along with them, I really do not care for cartos at all but if I have to recommend one or two it has to be boge or ikenvape fusions. I know that it has been a cliche that "taste is subjective" but I know from experience that this is true. I love some flavors so much and then my wife will try it and tell me it tastes like chemicals or perfume. Compound that with being a new vaper, where your tastebuds are just now gonna start recovering. It took my taste buds a long time to come back so some of the liquids that people rave about just did not taste good to me. With all that being said, there are definitely bad tasting e-liquids, it is definitely a good idea to look for reviews and suggestions before ordering but that still doesnt mean you will definitely like them. I also agree with the poster about the flavors you tried are easy to mess up, especially chocolate. Dont give up, check out the e-liquid reviews section on this site and order samples only until you find something you can vape for prolonged periods. At first, try not to be too picky, I was and it made things much more difficult. Good luck to you on your search.

Just a quick update on this issue. So I got some new juice and this issue is solved. The juice itself is bad... I am going to let it steep like I have been for about 2 more weeks and then drip a few drops on an atty to see if it is bad juice or just not steeped. I thought it could be my clearomizers so I washed one of them out and put in one of the new flavors and it tastes fine, a little bit muted flavor but that could be because my Stardust is an SR not LR and I don't have my VV Battery yet. Will update the thread again once the steeping is complete to let the fine people who have responded here know whether it is bad juice all-together or just needs a good steeping to set it straight in the event this comes up again from another person.

Very informative Slojas. Thank you!
Are there any good chocolate juices that you know of? It seems that chocolate is one of the most difficult flavors for e-liquids.
Any leads are greatly appreciated!

I gave up some time ago on finding good candy/food flavors and vape tobacco juices exclusively EG-Dekang RY4, Players, Du Maur and some custom blends from a local supplier.

Still testing a little at a time, thinking of going into the world of coffee flavors next.

There is still a good chance of there being good chocolate e-liquid as my sampling variety was rather small, I've found I'm just more of a tobacco guy and never bothered to pursue better candy/food vapes but in general I have found a few flavors to be fairly easy for suppliers to get right, EG- Cotton candy, Caramel, Vanilla, Maple, Almond and Peanut.

A recommendation for chocolate flavors that are real mild and clean tasting would be Halo's Belgian Cocoa and Mountain Oak Vapors Devilish Delight. I am not into the dessert type flavors that much but both of these I keep in rotation daily.
