Bad cartos?

Got in a 15 pack of Boge 2.0 cartos. 5 in each pack (3 packs)

First couple were fine, but 4 out of the other 2 packs are smoking and burning from the first hit. Did I get a bad batch? I thoroughly filled them, and they've been sitting for between 1 -2 hours, so they've had time to soak in.

It does sound as though you have a bad batch But... how many drops did you fill them with(around 25?),. what device do you have? Is your device under 4v or over? It is rare that that many cartos would just be duds. i think ive only gotten about four total boge duds in about seven months. Tell us a little more about whats happening and maybe we could give you a helping hand to figure this thing out.

this is the third time i've read about this happening within the past 3 days...and i just put in a big order for them...of course i'll end up with the last of the bad batch...can't wait.

Here lately, I've been reading about the same issues. Personally, I haven't had any problem with mine. I bought 50 boxes of them 6 moths ago well before all the problems started to pop up. Contact the vendor you bought them from and let them know what's going on.

I've been having the shorter life issue every once in awhile with Boge 2.0's lately. Maybe one out of seven acts up so not too bad for me. An actual burning taste either means they are dry and the filler is burning or You are vaping them at too high a voltage for the carto's OHM.

I'm using an 1000mAh eGo-t battery. The Boge 2.0 cartos are what were recommended to me. I pulled one apart to see if it was soaked all the way down, it was. It's not sparking, for lack of a better word. No fizzle, pop. Just smoke, the burnt smell. I shouldn't have said burnt taste, since no vapes coming thru.

Are these cartos horizontal coil? I've had a few bad cartos before that gave me a horrible burning taste. After removing the filler to confirm it was wet, I noticed a few loose filler fibers stuck at the bottom of the carto on the coil. It turns out those loose fibers were burning on every drag, causing an experience similar to what you describe.

Been seeing a lot of bad reports about the boge's lately. Shouldn't be that much DOA's floating around. Definitely contact the vendor and see if they have any sort of warranty on them. In most cases they don't but, it doesn't hurt to ask neither.

Nope, they're vertical coiled.

I'm afraid to waste any more juice in the damn things. Ugh. Can I suck it back out with the needle and save some of it?

You might not want to do that since the juice might be contaminated now. So, it'll probably taste awful if you try and use it in anything else.

BUT, if you really want to do it then you can try the reverse taryn spin. Here's a vid on it:

Reverse tarun spin to recover your juice. The searchbox at the top of the page will find you good descriptions of a tarun spin - and the search box at youtube will find you video tutorials of the same.

LisaC, I haven't seen you answer the question...how much juice are you filling your carto with...the Boges will hold 1 full ml worth...that is around 25-30 drops(or even more)...are you filling until the top of the filler is slushy looking and them waiting 10 and making it slushy again...if not, you may not be filling your carto completely and they sure need it the first time around...I ask this because, after 5mos of vaping 5ml daily using Boges and mostly Resurrectors, I have yet too burn one on the first usage...either I am extremely lucky or?????????????

I'm sorry, mad jack, yes, I was filling with a syringe, 1 ml. Looking for the slushy top, topping off after a few minutes if not slushy.

ETA - since this was my first time using them, I watched several videos to make sure I did it right. Didn't want to mess them up.

i had one cartos which died on me yesterday that was about 7 days old. although i still have the first cartos i opened 6 weeks ago running strong go figure. if you got some time, test the ohms on the ones that are bad and good. i am curious as what they meter out to.. my bad one metered out to 2.4 ohms and the good ones 2.0. never had a DOA though.

I have gotten a few bad boge's in batches, but the survivors make up for the DOAs compared to other cartos I've tried. My boge cartos that aren't DOA last twice as long and have better flavor than any other carto I've tried so far, which makes a few DOA's here and there not a big deal imo

I've had 3 bad ones (from 2 different vendors) in the last 2 weeks. Boge 2.0's on 1100mah T-rex, thoroughly filled and left to soak. Been using the Boges for 9 months. I think the filler is different. They don't seem to soak up the juice very well, and the filler seems to separate or loosen. Some of them have had a waxy taste.

Just order 2 packs x5 of boge 2.0's and I have 1 bad per pack. both of them rate 2.8-3.0 ohms too. I put in some vanilla eliquid and it tasted like smoked hickory or something.

Even tried the battery down condom fill method & left to soak. What a shame, read so many good reviews about them.
