Bad chemical smell on drip tips I just got in the mail

Hi. I just got some drip tips in the mail from FT and they smell really bad. It almost smells like super glue but different..very chemical smelling... I have soaked them in vodka and hot soapy water... They still smell... They are acrilic rotatable dip tips.. Is there anything else I can try?

Hmm...have you tried rubbing them down with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol? Maybe there's some oily residue on them from the manufacturing process. No experience with acrylic tips here, just an idea. If they still stink, I wouldn't use them. Good luck

Possibly put in heated Vodka, not boiling but Hot, let soak over night.

Some plastics stink, clean it up really well, vape it, no taste of that smell in your vape all dandy, just hold your nose while vaping or eat crackers while whistling..

Ill try that.. But not the vaping with my nose plugged or whistling while eaying crackers... Lol...

Boiling water is great for removing odors from plastics/rubbers as long as they are heat resistant. Just know that it may take a lot of boiling depending how bad it is.



As a point of reference, my camelback bike bottles rubber tips smell REALLY bad after a while despite being washed regularly. I tend to boil them twice, 30 minutes each time and replacing the water in between.
