2 weeks ago I made the decision to start vaping again. I fell off the wagon a few months ago when I couldn't find any juices I really liked and apparently my nic level was too low. Last week I purchased an itaste vv and an aspire et-s Pyrex tank. A few days later I joined ECF. Since then I have:
  • Purchased 3 more tanks, because I apparently can never have too many
  • Purchased a zmax and supplies for at home vaping
  • Purchased an atty and drip tip (love it!!)
  • Ordered 7 juices online
  • Purchased 3 juices at my local B&M

Tomorrow I may run by the vape shop and try out Suckerpunch again...and probably buy something. The good news is I haven't bought a pack of cigarettes in 2 weeks. The bad news is I have a really long wish list thanks to all of the wonderful reviews from y'all.

In all seriousness I sincerely appreciate this forum and the plethora of information y'all provide. I feel this forum is going to make the transition much easier and more fun too.

i think the quest for the perfect (or next best vape) is all part of re-focusing on something other than tobacco. my acquisition period has lasted 8 months so far and i have never once had the desire to return to smoking cigs. whatever works for you.... the community support found on the ECF will help you through any rough patches. jump on in.. the waters FINE.

Congratulations, I have been vaping 2 years now and I still use 24%nic liquid. Any lower and I get edgy. I am glad you tried again and it worked. There will always be new equipment to try. I set my budget in the beginning at half of what cigs used to cost me. Now, it is about a quarter of what I used to spend. All the best to you.

I am at two weeks ShoeBunny!! I've got a feeling that I'll be making quite a few purchases too!! I agree that the newness does settle some of the jonesing with not smoking cigs! But I like it A LOT!! I bought two eGo batts with six KangerTech EVOD tanks. So far I've gone through six coils but that was due to dark liquids I think. I don't mind because they are so cheap. I've purchased five liquids and I'm waiting on my order of three more from Virgin Vapors. Anyway, I hope you make it through this time!!

Thank you everyone. The biggest obstacle I have is my husband smokes. I am still having one with him in the evening and I'm not sure why. I've never liked the taste or smell of cigarettes. I suspect it's just the familiarity of it. My battery is also gone on the itaste by that time in the evening so hopefully with my zmax for home use I can skip the analog tonight and just vape.

Congrats on the decision to give it another try. I think a higher nic does help with cravings from what I have read. I started out of 18mg and I am still at 18mg with no desire to lower it. I keep 24mg and 36mg handy just in case someone gets on my "reserve nerve". Probably a good idea. I think having decent gear is the reason some go back to smoking. It doesn't have to be a Provari or anything expensive. Just a decent pv with a good battery life. Good luck to you this time and I hope everything just comes together for you. I look forward to reading about your vaping success. :)

Welcome back Shoebunnie and sounds like you're well on your way to tossing smokes to the curb :). Rat2chat2 already said pretty much everything I was going to but that won't stop me from adding my two cents ;)

I would not worry too much about having a smoke once in a while. Yes, try not to, but if you must you still didn't have all the others you didn't smoke. Eventually you'll leave that one last one by the curb too and that will feel really good :thumb:

My wife was complaining yesterday that vaping hasn't saved me any money!! I tried to explain that in the first few months, you are "finding yourself" and have to get different equipment and have different experiences to find what you really live. I don't think she went for it!

I have a much smaller "wish list" now; a Provari and two more Aero tanks and I think I will be done for awhile. I make make my own juice so that doesn't cost much, plus my neighbors are chipping in for DIY supplies since I make their juice too!!

Hopefully, we can get this worked out. Enjoy!

I'm at two months myself, and already acquired EVOD and EVOD 2 mods and tanks, an iTaste VV/VW 3 and Protank 3, and I have an iTaste MVP 2 on its way in the mail. Not to mention about 15 bottles of various juices from various vendors both online and B&M. Despite all that, I still think I've spent less than I would have on analogs in the same period.

Getting into rebuilding the coils in my EVOD and Protank now, so going to be saving even more $ there. Loving every minute of it.
