bad joye ego t attys

I have been using the ego tank system for about 2 weeks now and I have noticed that after 2 to 3 days of using the same atty it starts producing vary little vapor and flavor ....... I bought 5 low resistance attys from wordup and so far 3 of the 5 do the same thing ...... I have tried blowing them out and cleaning them in rubbing alcohol and still no improvement ....... I'm using Johnson creak for my juice its dark but vary thin Idk if that's the problem or what but these attys are too expensive to be burning through them every 2 days ........ any advice ?

I think I figured out what is going on..... the wick fits in the piercing plate loosely so if you blow into the battery side of the atomizer it can move away from the coil???? I tried pushing it back down with a paper clip just a bit and have had better performance....

The fickleness/ fragility of the components is a little alarming.

That being said, for somebody that's willing to tinker, it's a great little "hobby" with the benefit of getting off analogs.

To my mind that wick is the Achilles heel of the T models. That and the fact that they really need to be LR to get the vapor hot enough and I find Boge 2.0 cartos to be too hot.

The T needs to be fiddled with...about every 3 days like mentioned.
The first time you pull the wick plate off is a bit scary.
Your fifth time will be no big deal and will happen in a single, quick motion.

Get used to it...or buy a different model. Filling cartos is simply a different inconvenience.

I loved my ego-T. It performed well and with a backup atty, it never stranded me.

Yank the piercing needle plate... the wick can get clogged... "Simple CJ" has a guide on how to install a new wick. Do some searching. When you remove the plate, inspect the coil... may be gunked up... use the "atty resurrection method" to clean up the coils.

I tried pulling the piercing plate off but the wick came out and it all got effed up and didn't work right after I put it back together ........ wasted 14 bucks....>_<

Josh...don't toss it...read this thread for a good way to re-wick that atty...I know it looks complicated at first, but if you use tank type attys, it's good info to have...

I love the JC Tennessee Cured (Red Oak) but it does not work well with my Ego-T. Clogged it every time. Usually within a few hours.
I haven't tried it on my new type B atty. Use thinner e-juice with higher Pg or 70/30 blends.

I have the ego-T attys ( not the LR ones) and mine are doing great. I have read somewhere though that you should stay away from dark liquids as that has a dendancy to clog up you attys also vaping all vg will not work well with them either I use 50/50 pg/vg or a higher ratio of pg and have not had an issue

I think I will try the wick mod when I can find the tea bag I need ....... the wick part is easy for me to get cuz I work with boilers so there is always some laying around XD
