Since starting nic salts late last spring:

-3 Broken Suiron Air V2s (either wont hit, blue blinking light, or just completely dead)
-A Breeze 2 that stopped holding in its pod. I'm assuming cause I was pulling off the mouthpiece while the pod was attached to the battery and this loosened the two little parts that hold the pod on. Bought a NIB Breeze 2 to replace it and not waste my coils I had.
-Just last night an OVNS Vape X started not firing, then auto firing,t hen doing a "Simon Says" where the green/white/blue/reds would alternate flash. Then it the green 'hit' light would stay on for hours at time. No longer hits.

So I'm not too happy, I was only able to get one RMA on one Suiron (cause of 30 day policy, and I accidentally ruined one Suirons Code scratching it). New Breeze 2 was out of pocket, and the local shop has said they will replace my OVNS Vape X free of charge.

So what am I doing wrong? I know with the Suiron and Vape X juice on the motherboard wreak havoc. I try to use 60/40 or 70/30, with the Surion I was able to disassemble and fix them many times, but eventually it would be dead for good. From what I read, card /pod systems like the Surion its best to turn them off and remove the pod over night. It seems no matter which ratio I use I get leaky pods anyway.

Yet an online store staff member has had the same Surion Air for 6 months with almost no problems.

What am I doing wrong? This is getting pricier than buying cloud chasing hardware.

What exactly did you do when you "disassemble and fix them many times"?

I got my Suorin Air on February 12... 6 months ago. I used it as my only vape for a long time. I still use it. I paid $16 and definitely got my moneys worth from it. Before I got the Air, I started with the Juul but the 5% nicotine was too much for me. The Air saved me from going back to cigarettes.

I just leave mine on. For safety, it's probably best to turn it off but I don't bother with it. I have other draw activated pod devices that don't even have an off switch.

As far as "leaking" is concerned, any draw activated device with the air intake on the bottom of the pod will have some build up of vapor condensing on the battery. Vapor escapes out of the air intake. The only way to completely avoid it is to use a pod device that doesn't have draw activation and has the air intake on the side rather than the bottom. I like draw activation so the minimal amount of maintenance that it requires is worth it to me. Use a q-tip to clean the terminals as needed.

The Air pods are glued together so they typically don't spill e-liquid. Make sure that you clean up any mess you make when filling before you put the pod back on the battery.

I don't have the Breeze 2 (I do have the Breeze 1 though) or the Vape X.

Many users have to use something like a flat head screw driver and pop the board out of the Surion V2 and clean the rubber gromit, puff detector pad area, and the motherbaord in general. This is seen in many YouTube tutorials. I've had to do that on each one of my Suiron V2s, multiple times, most of the time it will revive it from its issues (not firing, blinking light, etc) until finally it is D.O.A

Should I be pulling the pod on the Suiron and turning it off every night? If the pod is left in for extended periods of time, how crucial is it that the setup be left upright instead of laying flat?

I haven't experienced those problems.

I leave the pod in and the power switch on and I haven't had any problems in 6 months. I don't think it matters if it is stored upright or flat. I've even dropped it a few times and it still works fine.

I like the Air a lot. It has a lot going for it like the slim form, the magnetic pod attachment, and the consistent and responsive draw. The downside is that you have to be careful to avoid dry hits. That seems common with Suorin pods. But I have noticed that dry hits is less of a problem during the summer compared to the winter. Maybe the e-liquid gets runny during hot weather and wicks more easily.

I have maybe 5 different pod devices. One device (vapeccino) quit working after a pod leaked. Most are so cheap so I don’t care if they fail. Infinix’s are dirt cheap, like $14. They are consistent and hit well but pop and spit. I have been mostly using justfog mini and C601. They are kind of cheapish and very light weight but consistent good hit and the pods last like two weeks with zero problems. Just got a wismec motive 2. It’s very high quality and hits like a champ. Price was like $22 and came with two pods. The pods look like the highest quality pods I’ve seen so far. The justfogs and wismec never spit or leak. The justfogs pop a lot. The wismec pod never pops and might have the best flavor. I mix up my own nic salt juice unflavored so I don’t notice the flavor differences so much.

I've had bad luck with several different devices as well. Some are just cheap and cheaply made, so I think the general thought is that they are meant to be somewhat disposable. I went through 3 Suorin Airs in a matter of weeks when I started. One was defective out of the box, one lasted a week, and one lasted about 30 days. When they work, I actually love them. But the failure rate on them seems to be pretty high from what I've read. I've also pulled out the board and cleaned it, reviving them once or twice before they just blink and refuse to allow a hit. Unfortunately, it's not just you.

My current one is stored without the pod and the power off if I'm not actively using it. And when I do use it, I make sure to use a q-tip to wipe up the condensation on the battery contacts with a little alcohol before retiring it. It's been great for a few months, but it gets much less use than before since it's now relegated to back up status.

I don't own a pod I don't think pods and I would get along somehow. I don't see how cleaning it (if you are doing what is recommended not more) would necessarily mess them up but they just seem like very finicky devices to me, and I prefer my mods to be more robust. I would probably do exactly what you are doing and get opinions from other pod users. I have heard decent things about the Breeze 2, in the sense that there isn't a ton of complaining about it, but that is about ALL I can say. Etc.
