Honestly 60w isn't giving me the vape that I want. I'm not trying to see how high I can run these coils. I'm just excited to have something new and like anyone have been experimenting with my new toys and am just wondering if maybe I got a couple bad coils or what's going on. I bought the tfv4 cuz I wanted to try out high wattage tanks and blow some clouds once in a while lol. I'm just the ocd type that likes to know everything is working as it should.
I picked up a quad coil on my lunch today. I'll probably Try that out tonight. When I've got the time I'll give that rba a try with the pre installed Clapton and see how I make out.

Gotcha. Maybe it is just bad luck with those coil heads. Does the TFV4 come with the dual coil RBA along with the single coil one? I think the dual coil deck would suite your vape better.

If you really want to crank it up, get the thinnest clearest juice you can. Get some 80/20 and as clear, meaning as flavorless as you can stand, and crank it up.
These "other people" may have gotten a better coil, they may have juice that runs like water, they may be using straight PG for all we know, they may not have any flavor added to the juice.
OR, they might just be blowing smoke about the whole thing! I learned a long time ago to take things my buddies tell me and what I read on the "danged 'ole interwebs" with a grain of salt!

Yeah, once you learn to make what you like, it's hard to go buy a coil you can make in a min yourself. Look at youtube and watch videos on the coil master coil making kit. I normally don't pimp products, but I love this thing! Wish I'd had it years ago! With some shopping around you can find the whole kit for under $8 and it saves so much time and hassle! Then watch a few vids on attomizers that appeal to you and see how easy, or hard it is to build on them. Go to angelcigs, fasttech, gearbest or 3fvapor and buy a couple of cheap drippers to learn on. My first fasttech order I think we ordered 12 RDA's? between two of us, just to be able to play with them. A cheap learning experience for sure!

Maybe it's beginners luck but I just got into vaping a little over a month ago. I was looking at something in the 50w range but a couple guys at work told me to go bigger so I wouldn't have to upgrade. I got a kbox 200 & a crown tank. I threw a .25 coil in & started out at the 40-50 they recommended (one even has the same tank with the same coil). After about a week I still wasn't happy with it. I took a puff one day & omg . Turns out I accidentally turned it up to 77 in my pocket. I've run around there ever since & just changed the coil a few days ago. I guess it's either a good combo with the box or just dumb luck.

Yeah I'm hoping so. I'm just kind of disappointed is all. This is pretty much the setup I've been drooling over and now that I have it it's not what I hoped for. The mini just comes with the one rba that has a Clapton coil pre installed. The TF RCA they call it.

I have never had an issue with TFV4 coils. I mostly use the quad coils. I drip 4 drops into the center of the coil and then after filling the tank, I take 3 or 4 primer puffs. I start them at 60 watts for a few vapes then raise it 65 watts then up to 70 and 75 watts. My juice is 70/30 and 80/20 VG/PG. My coils usually last 3-4 weeks and even then I don't get a burnt taste, they just start flooding. I usually vape 3/4 of a tank before I refill with no problems. I can't say what it is you are doing wrong and so far I have not received any bad coils. I use the RBA sections sometimes but I have to perfect my wicking as I have gotten dry hits on the RBA from it not being wicked right.
The only thing I could think is if you have a vacuum problem in the tank that is preventing your coils from wicking. Check that the top silicone seal (the fill seal) is seated correctly with the drip ridge facing up and check that your tank top and bottom is tightened good. Not torqued just tight. Good luck and I hope you figure out the problem, the TFV4s are my favorite tanks.

I seem to be having better luck with this quad coil I'm running. Running it at 90w right now and it's enjoyable.

I like the quad better than the triple myself. I haven't noticed any difference in flavor like some seem to. I usually run between 80-90 watts depending on the juice I'm vaping.
