One of those days, ordered some upgrade gear from a fairly well known website, and I am not blaming the website, but I just couldn't get anything to work. I could only get one of the magnets out of my Stingray X (the bottom one), couldn't pry out the top one, so the Stingray X is only half upgraded. Ended making the hole through the top delrin a hair to big for the new top pin, so its a bit loose. The fit when assembled seems a bit to long, but the throw is tighter and shorter then expected, but still crunchy (so looks like I'm doing some filing tomorrow) and the extended delrin bottom piece I got for it does not fit. Then I lost the damn rice pin, took the one out of my infinite nemesis then tried upgrading that one to the magnet kit. No go, magnets don't sit right. Ended up breaking 2 out of the 3 magnet sets that I have. Found a temporary fix for the rice missing rice pin, a cut and filed wire hanger (which is actually working well, nice tight fit.) The rest of the upgrade is ok and hits nice...but neither of the mods sit right with a kayfun, gotta fiddle with the bottom cap to make it sit flush.
And to top it all off, the knurled screws i picked up to replace the .... screws on my plume clone didn't fit. So all in all, a failed modding afternoon. Ever have one of those days? Makes me miss my Vamo...almost.
