Bad Nic?

I just received a batch of 30mL/36mg PG unflavoured liquid and I think it is off?

The first thing is it is a strong tint of yellow, not clear and the zip lock bag it came in was wet inside.?

vaping this stuff is awful!

I tried it a 12mg using a calc and syringe for accurate measuments and it just about tore my lungs out, I though it may be too much so I mixed some to 6mg and wow less painful but feels like I'm swallowing a razor blade. Harsh!!

It is not the liquid or PG I can smoke that at 0mg all day and usally smoke winfield blues, 12mg analogs.

I though I had better check and ask you guys what you think, this is my first batch I am hoping its not normally like this or I'm going back to the analogs for smoothness and to save my throat.

Oh and the liquid smells very strong too.

The yellow color may be just 'older', and some oxidation- not the end of the world (although quality should be better).
As far as the smell, that happened to me once_ also with horrible taste: I returned to vendor for credit.

Nic may have a slight peppery smell (SLIGHT!)- anything other than that- I wouldn't use.

Pretty much as already said. Fresh unflavoured NIC is usually clear and almost odourless. Older NIC that has had a chance to oxidise will become yellow. My last 200ml bottle started off as clear as water, by the time it was finished it was a pale mid yellow. I have received three bottles of this size in 50 / 52mg strength so far from two different vendors and all have been clear and almost without odour even before diluting down to my preferred 24mg.

Based on what you have said, particularly the strong odour, I would advise you to not use it and contact the vendor for replacement or refund.

Possible danger - occasionally a nic vendor or their supplier will screw up and mislabel 100% nic as a lower level. The last time someone had unexpectedly strong smelling and strong feeling nic that was the problem. Contact your vendor.

Wise advice. Until you know otherwise keep it sealed and safe and wash your hands, syringes and work area thoroughly.

I can't imagine how dangerous it would be to get a bottle of high strength or pure NIC in error. That scares me, even though I am always cautious with a new supply until I am sure of it.

I think contacting the vendor is the best thing.

Nicotine Base can have a Slight yellowish brown tint to it caused be Oxidation. But at 36mg it shouldn't have much of any smell at all.

I wouldn't use of handle it.

It happened to me once. Vendor wouldn't take it back. In my case I'm sure it was either a very high nic or too much flavoring added (it was cinnamon too so it'd knock your socks off). I cutting it majorly with VG and there is NO after effects but will take forever to use it all.

My stuff just smelled like cinnamon though so I'd contact your vendor.

UPDATE

Well no response from original vender..

But I did get some more nic from Heavens Gifts and wow what a difference, this stuff is clear and odorless and is smooth to vape. Compared to the other stuff this is 10x smoother, finally I can put that pack of cigarettes to bed and enjoy vaping, well if I can sort out my next problem..

I'm comfortable at 10mg but I have a new problem, I get too much throat hit and not much flavor from my cartomizers but its perfect (vaping heaven) when dripping, is the extra flavor masking the throat hit when I drip or is the carto not vaperizing the nicotine well enough? Should I start a new thread for this question?

If you're using all pg it's going to be harder on your throat than vg. Try a pg/vg mix. I find cartos are warmer than atomisers so it'll be a stronger throat hit again and it also depends on the amount of vapour produced and my cartos do better than my atomisers so far. Heat, mg of nic and amount of pg are the main factors in throat hit so you can fiddle around with those until you find the right levels of those for you. 10mg really shouldn't give much of a throat hit so I wouldn't reccommend you lower your nic for a lowered throat hit.

If you're a new vaper, it'll be harder on your throat for a little while as you adjust to inhaling something different to smoke. It can improve with time, usually within a week or two. Keep up your fluid intake and consider different inhalation techniques. Straight to lungs or into your mouth first and then inhale. With cartos I prefer into my mouth then inhale because they tend to have a warmer vapour than atomisers.

Dripping always has better flavor that cartos, fact of vaping. Your TH can vary depending on the resistance of your atty vs. your carto, lower ohms means it will produce more watts - warmth - TH. Finding the carto (wide variety) that suites you, and the juice you are using os often hit and miss. The Boge cartos are reported the best for filler type, and the CE2 for filler-less, more or less ohms depending on your preference and how many volts yr PV is producing.

This is so overwhelming for a newbie, so many things to try so little time, well at least I have a sweet spot with dripping that I can gauge my success off when experimenting. Today was the first time I experienced just what people that love vaping were on about, because my experience before that was hmm vaping maybe yes maybe no. Now I have no doubt vaping is gooood! no going back for me.
