Hello.

I just got my 510 mega kit in the mail today and have already been vaping for a few hours. Pretty good first impressions.

Initially, I was getting a nasty, burning metallic taste from the atomizers but I think I got this sorted out. I wasn't dripping liquid onto the wick.

But now I'm trying out some low-res cartomizers that I ordered and getting that same burning taste which I can't get rid of it. I think I filled them correctly.. I took the plastic tip off and dripped liquid in it until it was very well saturated (they came with soft tips so I can't fill them that way). ANy idea what I'm doing wrong? Any tips?

I'm not sure what cartomizers you are using but whenI started I was just using the plastic cartomizers with the filler material in them,I had the same problem,I had to let it sit between vapes ,if I hit it to much it would taste really bad,I even have had the plastic slowly melt away in one spot over a couple of days use.So I went back to cartridges thinking cartomizers sucked, until I found the CE2 cartomizers.they have no filler material, metal housing, ceramic cup around coil. Now that is all I use unless dripping. No burnt taste at all,my juice even tastes better. You can find them at several places I'm sure, but I buy my from vapor junction, very fast shipping and good prices

Thanks for telling me that. I've been using them all day (yikes) and they actually were working better than the atomizers I have (don't know exactly what I was doing wrong, but I wasn't filling them correctly)

The website I ordered them from is misleading. It says they're "great for use on your 510" and then at the bottom of the page says they aren't for use with "regular 510 batteries". I should've researched them better, I guess. Won't make that mistake again.

I could be wrong but I don't think that using joye 510 batteries would cause a burning taste,it'll just make your batteries die out on you faster. It'll run them down quick so you will have to charge them sooner,so you will use up their charge, drain cycles sooner, or could blow protection, like I said I could be wrong

glad you found your answer, took me awhile to figure it was my type of flavor, i like the 'darker' flavors..like coffee and it gunks them up quicker and yuck on the burning taste!

also i've been through quite a few cartos, different brands and i found i can ruin a certain one faster than another. the husband vapes only 'light' or clear flavors and doesn't have the probs i do. so keep juices in mind too imo.

still trying to get a hang of this ohm/mah lol
