Soft drip tip REEKS!!

I got a soft drip tip with my recent tank purchase and holy heck does this thing REEK! It has a horrible, strong and utterly disgusting stink to it. Anyone have any tips on how to get rid of this nastiness? I'd really rather use the soft tip as opposed to the hard plastic one.

If you have tried washing it in warm soap and water then try soaking it. You could try some Vinegar and a shot glass or some vodka. Not sure if that would completley kill that funk but it's worth a shot.
