Anyone else always get a dirty sock mixed with soap taste when using a manual Pass through with these carts? Particularly all the Mint and Menthol cart flavors, but I remember the pineapple and other flavors having the same issue. Its getting on my last nerve Its the main reason why I still smoke analogs, I hope the premium carts do better... I fear they won't though.

I suspect the culprit is the batting material embedding around the heating element, you guys need to put a more durable material in there for the high voltage intense users, I hear that blue fish tank material is good but you have to be careful and make sure you get the right kind.

Even after a fresh refill, or when I take the first puff and notice the nasty taste from a fresh cart and put some more juice in, the taste is still there.

I gave up on batteries.. they don't last longer then 10-15mins of constant use on one full charge and don't produce enough vapor and flavor. Utterly useless.

I use a charger pack and a Manual PT or if I'm in the car I use the car adapter and Manual PT.

Batteries don't produce enough vapor
Batteries die after 10-15mins

Passthroughs constant vapor
Overheats the Cart alot quicker
Nasty Dirty Sock/Soap taste.

Any comments,questions,suggestions,solutions please feel free.

All I can recommend is if your not using a manual battery, get one, they allow you to control your vape and produce a lot of vapor. The sole purpose of the new premium cartomizers is better flavor and vapor ,try them.

I also have had problems with the PTs, but when I started getting burnt flavors, I would unplug it and plug it back in. Leaving it constantly plugged in is not good for the cartomizer, and if very unsafe. Higher voltage alters the taste a bit. Some flavors work well on the passthrough, others don't.

My advice? Try an XL manual battery with new premium cartomizers, you won't be dissapointed.

Are you vaping tobacco or non tobacco flavors?

Non tabbaco flavors only.

All my batteries and PT's are Manual. Auto PT's and batteries die too often.

I have 2 XL Manual Batteries and One Regular size Manual battery. The Regular size Manual battery last longer and has a longer cut off then the 2 Manual XL batteries.

So you don't have one of the xl's with the 10 sec cut off? Cause a nice long drag off of that kills me. Since you already have the manuals (great choice:D), deff try the new premiums, it's similar to a hit off a mod, great throat hit, great vapor, great everything.

I usually use two cartos at a time. If you hit the passthrough too much, it will quickly burn up a cart. Using one carto on a battery and one on the passthrough helps both cartos last longer. Regular sized manual batteries fully charged will last me between 3-4 hours before I notice a drop off in performance. XL batteries last me 5-6 hours before I notice a drop off in performance.

this is with constant vaping? when I mean constant I mean clouds hanging around, like a wet sauna.

Maybe your nic strength is too low if you need to vape that much. I usually find that a couple vapes every 5 mn. or so is plenty. I chain vape sometimes but it is impossible for me to use up a battery in 15 mn. 2 hrs. is minimum. Are they old batteries that don't hold much of a charge anymore?

Like a wet sauna?? I mean, I chain, and I mean CHAIN, all day on my PT when I'm doing paperwork at home, and the atmosphere is... unchanged. And I get big vape. I am trying to figure out what the heck is going on...

And I just ran a fresh batt (reg, one of the new ones, with premiums) today from 6 AM -2PM, pretty heavy vaping (I'm free to do that in my office)... And I have about 20 batts and have never experienced anything like this, nor heard of it in here... 10 - 15 MINUTES on a freshly charged batt, and little flavor/vape???

Joizy, ya have me completely bewildered... wish you were next door so I could see what the heck you're doing...

???!!! this is quite confusing but I may have some ideas.

First, you said that you were using refills? Do you wash the cartos inbetween refills? This greatly helps with the degredation of flavour and draw for me. In fact, When I wash cartos let them dry and refill I can't tell the difference between new and refilled.

Have you checked the cartos to see if they're burnt? I think this maybe where the odd taste that your getting is coming from. Also clean the contacts on your PT and batts to remove dirt and residue build up that occurs.

I also think that if your having to vape that much you should up your nic strength. I chain vape in front of the computer and couldn't ever get it like a sauna.

As far as how long the batts last, now I'm mystified. Yes, your vaping waaaaaay more than I do, but *wow*! One XL manual lasts me 10 hrs before the lights blink; I usually change XL batts after about 8 hrs.

With the PT I exclusively use mints or menthols on them and never get the burnt taste from them. In fact, the mints or the menthols are the only flavours I like on a PT b/c the higher voltage seems to kill the more delicate fruit/candy/cream type flavours I like to vape.

I hope your vaping experience improves b/c I love smoking; the experience, the taste, all of it was/is enjoyable to me. Vaping far exceeds cigarettes on the enjoyment scale IMHO. However, don't totally bash yourself for smoking cigarettes still either. I still enjoy a good cigar/bowl of pipe tobacco about once/week myself though I must say I have no want to smoke a cigarette anymore. I have smoked 3 since I started vaping and I can honestly say I didn't enjoy it.
