ok so i had my first drop and snapped the threading off of my protank 1. chi you clone went one way and protank the other. i did get the rest of the threading out of the mod without any problems. being close to a supplier i went and got another one. they dudnt have replacement bases so i bought the protank two. now ive heard they tightened up the draw a bit by making the slots on the bases not so deep. Did they change the size of the airholes near the 510 threadin? if i tighten it all the way winto the mod like it should be i cant get any air at all. to get a vape on it i have to barely screw it in and now its all frickin wabbly and not secure at all. need some help. gonna try to order protank 1 bases i guess, and they are cheap, but i dont get it....any suggestions?

It's due to the modification of the 510 connector/airhole location on the base of the PT2.

There's a decent chance a true PT 1 base will improve the airflow.

One simple easy fix to attempt (worked on the same issue with my caravela clone):

Remove the PT

Take the top cap off the Chi You

Thread OUT the larger 510 adjustment (not the center screw) quite a bit

Install the protank

Thread back in the larger 510 adjuster, testing every little bit until its just tight enough to fire the PT, no more.

This should hopefully allow more airflow around the connector and improve the draw quite a bit (did for me).

If that doesn't work, if you have a 1.8ohm coil in it, change it out to the 2.2ohm. Mine came with both and the 1.8 had bad air flow, unscrewed it a bit, gurgled, sucked juice and burned. It could have just been me but.......I saw where the combination of the white gasket on the 1.8 coil and the raised metal ring below on the base is what causes the problem.
My PT1 snapped just like yours did, sounds like it's common.

my pt2 came with 2 spare gaskets and had been wondering what it's for... i just bought my 2nd pt2 and like the 1st, i had problems with non existent airflow after my second fill of the tank. i went about visiting vape shops until one dude suggested to use the gasket as a washer between the connecting base and the mod. i have a k100 by the way. it worked for a bit until i almost gave up again on my pt2 as the gasket got worn and connection started getting wobbly again. just tonight, i pent some time fiddling and cleaning everything and thought would try everything else before i finally start drilling the air holes at the base as i thought it's a blockage problem since i see thread marks over the air holes. i just kept testing, blowing through the attached coil unit over the gasket and noticed that the problem was with the coil unit getting screwed overly deep in the base connector that prevented airflow for some reason. i just tried replacing the white gasket around the coil unit attaching to the base and viola! problem solved! pt2 screwed tight on my k1 with very good airflow if not even a bit excessive... hope this helps...
