I live in Suffolk County. Is it completely banned from use or does it fall under the same restrictions as cigarette smoking?

Actually, I saw them selling PVs in the mall here in Suffolk County so they can't be completely illegal. I think I remember hearing PVs being banned where cigarettes are banned in Suffolk County and in NYC you can't sell them.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I do remember reading an article that said they were under attack because it *looked* like smoking, and that King Mikey promised to give anyone who looked like they were smoking the Evil Eye.

We were going to go into the City earlier in the month when we were visiting relatives, but decided not to because the day we were going was the day they had the celebration parade for the Yankees. Didn't want to get caught in that mess... But that meant I did not get to see if anyone gave me a hairy eyeball for vaping, which I fully intended to do.

Seems most bars and clubs are blowing off the tobacco-smoking ban in NYC anyway and it's poorly enforced to begin with. I've seen a couple of articles in NYC-centric mags regarding this, most recently Eater.

I openly vape in my office and on the street, and stealth vape on public transportation in and around NYC.

Yeah, sorry -- I didn't mean it was banned from possession or ANY kind of usage, just banned in the same way smoking tobacco is banned in public places, workplaces, etc. Here is a snippet from the offensive press release:

"Cooper’s legislation bans the sale of e-cigarettes to anyone under the age of 19 and prohibits their use
in public places where traditional forms of smoking are already disallowed, such as restaurants and
bars. However, the law allows consenting adults to use the devices in their own homes and in open-
area venues where the smoking of standard cigarettes is still permitted."
