just two (long) 3.7V drags to demo the vapor i'm getting out of my diy box mods. i always set them up for two 14500 li-ion batteries (in parallel), so this is how pretty much every one i've put together has performed.. which is not bad at all. anyhow, thought this might be useful as a baseline for what any would-be modders out there can expect to get from their efforts. bear in mind, also, that's a 70/30 homemade juice, and the vapor is obviously significant of that.. that is, if you're using VG juice then you can expect better vapor than you're seeing here. cheers.

and for those who care--that's not a 901, it's the low-bridge RN model.. bought a few from Liberty-Flights and have been diggin them. that "washer" that's in the 901s now and making them a pain to drip with: isn't in these.. so i definitely recommend trying one out if you're a dripper. check L-F, as mentioned, and VaporKings if you're interested, they're only around $5-8 with a coupon code.

some pics, if anyone's interested.. it's the first one i've gotten to work in a 2xAA box, so i'm just a wee bit pleased with myself, you know? ;b

thanks for the words.. and yeah, i love the parallel battery configuration.. i get about the same lifespan out of these 14500 boxes that i do out of one 18650, a solid 2 days before i notice any trail off in vapor production.

and that box stays cleaner than you'd think.. it's durable as all hell and wipes off nicely. i mean, i took it to work (residential construction, i'm a painter) every day this week and it still looks nice & clean. i imagine if you were a mechanic or something that required getting your hands greasy or grimy, though, it might be a problem. to each their own, though. ;)

ps: i actually went with the white box on this because my black ones kept getting marred with oil-based primer.. you can't clean that mess out the texture and cracks on one of these w/out soaking the whole ... thing in thinner...and you don't want to vape out of a box that smells like thinner--trust me ;b
