Basen 18650s

Has anyone used Basen 40A 18650s? I just ordered 2 of them at $7.99 ea.
They are supposed to be 40A max and 30A continuous with 2600MAH.
One of my efest batteries stopped hitting hard and it dies within 3 hours, so I ordered 2 to try them out. Price was right after all. If anyone has any input, please let me know.

I'll post my thoughts after I get them in and try them out.

I haven't tried them but there aren't any 30A/2600mAh cells that could have been used by Basen. They would have to either rewrap the LG HB6 (30A/1500mAh) or the Sony VTC4 (30A/2100mAh).

My guess is that it's a decent 20A cell and you'll probably find that it works great for you! Looking forward to hearing what you think when you try them.

From that website, note that the CDR is claimed to be 30 amps. The advertised 40 amps is the pulse rating, which we don't consider a viable spec for vaping. Until this battery has seen some independent testing I would not consider this any better than a 20 amp CDR battery.

The only test I've found is for the 35A (20A continuous like pretty much everything else out there). If nothing else, based on the tests it looks better than Efest. At least from what I can tell. I should have waited for more tests to come out I guess, but just gonna build as if I am building for any average 20A battery at any rate.

The only place really carrying these is the China wholesale ali sites. Id bet these turn out to be 20A at best. Remind me of the vamped cells.

All I am hoping for at this point is that they are better than my Efests. I am vastly unimpressed by them thus far, and I can't wait for the Basens to come in.

Dont get your hopes up. Sorry. For all of that you could have bought some samsung or lg's and been just fine.

I'll post the results once I try them out. I have no way to do an actual test, but I'm going to monitor the battery life and how well they hit vs the Efest. I'll compare them both fully charged on the same mod with the same coil and juice etc.

You went from a battery with notorious over-rated specs, to an unknown battery of unknown quality, also probably having over-rated specs. Like Wraith said, had you done a little research or inquired here, you could have gotten a reputable & proven high quality battery instead.

I have a better idea. Just send them to mooch for real testing, rather than assume you know what the actual amp rating/performance of these cells are.

That settles it everyone, we will get a real test done to see how these babies hold up. Fingers crossed but breath will not be held.

Just got the batteries in. So far it hits like a beast compared to my efest. Sending out the other one for testing, so the actual results are pending as to whether or not this is a placebo affect due to being new.
