I was checking out COV's riva package(any good?), which has a 510 low res cisco atomizer.

was wondering what cisco was.

thanks.

I just want something that will give me a throat hit with 0mg

Cisco, as in the man who made the laser pointer mod a household name, supplied the nichrome wire for these atomizers. I find the Cisco 306 LR's to give you a better pop, and a warmer vape.

Check your PM's. :)

Basil....I have a couple of the LR 306's from Cisco as well....and I agree these are VERY good. I'm a huge fan of the Eastmall LR510's, but these are head and shoulders above them. Taste AND vapor are much improved. The two things I'm curious about are reliability (the EM's last forever) and flushing them. I haven't found a good way to clean the 306's yet. Even soaking them overnight in water doesn't seem to clean a flavor out of them.

I don't know that I've hit the magic spot on cleaning them just yet either. Here's what I do:

1. Remove from device (but leave drip tip on)
2. Blow through the mouth end of the drip tip until nothing more comes out
3. Remove drip tip and blow through battery end of the atty until nothing more comes out.

I always remove all wicks. Between the blowing and the sporadic dry-burn, I don't have too many problems with flavors sticking...And that's what she said!

Thanks for the great review, Basil.

Do they come with cartridges or is it strictly dripping? And don't you think that 1.4Ω might be a bit risky on a Riva/eGo class batteries? I'm afraid of killing my batteries. What do you think?

All the 306's I've purchased (Cisco or not) come with the standard blank cart on the end. I am a dripper, so I've never experimented with slapping a cartridge on one.

As for the Riva/eGo, I don't think there's a safety or battery damage issue. I ended up skipping over that class of device in my progression to the GLV2 and Silver Bullet, so I can't say from experience, but I believe a lot of vapers are using them on their Riva/eGo devices as we speak.

Back to cleaning, I ended up removing the bridge entirely, which has made it a LOT better for dripping, and a LOT easier for cleaning.

So far, I've been rocking this atty more or less full-time for over a week now and haven't noticed any kind of performance decrease. I'll report back when/if I can finally kill it. I end up dry burning it daily since it's so easy with this atty's low resistance.

Been running them on eGo 650 mah's and 900 mah'sfor about 3 weeks now. You will not have any problems and I doubt you will go back to your old atty's. They do suck down the liquid though!

Cool.

Now that i think about it though, i have a 5-pack of LR510s from Eastmall from when i bought my Rivas. I rarely use them, and didnt know that it makes a difference as far as where you get your LR attys from, and that Eastmall is desired.

Might use them more often. Normally a even a normal 510 (not necessarily from Eastmall) gets me off just fine on my Riva.

I can't believe you have a 5 pack of LR510's and you aren't using them. They are great atty's too. The OP was for the Cisco LR306 and what you get with that is a true 1.5 ohm atty with NiChrome sourced from USA (a little better quality control). Some of mine where even a little lower at 1.45 ohm. I have been estimating about 10% more vapor production from the LR 306's vs the LR 510's. They do feel hotter than the 510's since your throat is closer to the coil. Keep in mind You will need a different tip to use the 306's. FYI- Check out Vapor Flow he is running a special on them and that is where I got mine
