i will be vaping at 25-30 watts. i chain vape aswell, lets say 7 puffs per minute.
i want a really good charger and batteries(vtc5). im looking for a set that will last me for 2 years and that i could always vape without having to run out of power. how many batteries should i buy and what charger would go with it. i prefer i2-i4 over d2-d4. i dobt want to pay extra for a digital screen.

is 3 okay ?

Who knows? Three might be sufficient, but then again they might not. It depends a lot on the coil resistance load, your vaping frequency, the regulating efficiency of your processor, and how it all works out in practice. I believe you can never have too many quality batteries on hand.

I'm a firm believer that multiple batteries used in a set rotation improves the longivity of batteries. Batteries benefit from a period of "rest" between charging/discharging cycles. If you pull a just recharged battery off of the charger and start pushing it hard in your mod without letting it rest, its not going to like it, theoretically speaking.

I've kept a rotation of 6 batteries of AW 18650 IMR's for just over two years and they are just now starting to show their age. I use them in a regulated Provari and a mechanical Silver Bullet and use one battery in each mod daily. The toppers have been either a 2.5 ohm cartotank or 1.4 ohm Kayfun for the Provari, and a 0.6 ohm dual coil RDA for the Silver Bullet. I assure you that the lower resistance of the 0.6 ohm RDA is pushing the batteries much harder and negatively affecting their overall longivity, than the normal resistance of the Provari toppers.

Now, the AW's are only 10 amps, so they don't have the amp reserve of a 30 amp Sony battery. I have a couple of those too that I share with my live-in son who is using another mech and 0.6 ohm RDA.

Also depends on how often you charge them. For the VTC4s Sony quoted and average 300 cycles, but I can't find this information for the VTC5s. Worst case scenario you'll notice a drop in performance after 300 cycles, as long as you adhere to the advice given in the other replies.

You'll be hard pressed to get any battery to last more than a year chain vaping like that tho.
