I just got my black 510 nicstick the other day and I'm LOVING IT, especially since I just stopped smoking. This is exactly what I needed to help with the fits and the habit of always wanting to puff on a cigarette. They look really cool, are fun to show off, and give good, smooth hits that I prefer over cigarettes. The only bad thing about it is the battery. It doesn't last very long. When I work long hours, I don't have to worry about it running out since I don't have long to vape throughout the day anyway, but on off days, I'll have the battery dead in a couple of hours. Is there a longer-lasting battery I can get? I leave it hooked up to my macbook via USB charger and hook my macbook to the charger as well. Leave it charging and don't take it off until I'm ready to hook it up and begin vaping before my shift starts. Even with 8-10 hours of charging, it goes dead sooner than desired. Also, the USB charger is extremely inconvenient. I'm very worried about the battery getting bumped or stepped on and breaking. Or, even worse, breaking the USB port on my macbook. Are there any alternatives? One more question regarding the juice. This stuff if $10 at my local tobacco store. For 18mg's. I heard these things were supposed to be cheaper than cigarettes, and I'm going through these bottles of nicotine like nothing and spending way more than I would on normal cigarettes. Is the nicotine at my tobacco store overpriced, or am I just vaping wayy more than I was smoking? I'm not exactly sure how many cigarettes 18mg's is equal to.

if the 10$ is for anything smaller then 15ml of ejuice id say its too high, there are alot of vendors here on evf that offer much cheaper and probably better juice, take a look and order an array of flavors so you can start testing them out. and yes libertyflights has a riva 510 for cheap and they would probably last you about 8 hours on one of your days off, hope this helps have a good one!-)

You can't base the nicotine level on how many cigarettes it equals. It just doesn't work that way. If you were a heavy smoker, and it sounds like you were, then it might be best to start at 24mg. We usually suggest getting a couple of different nicotine strengths when first starting, so buying several small bottles with different flavors in both 18mg and 24mg is probably your best bet.

First, let me address the battery. Yes you can get a battery that lasts much longer. You will need a new charger too tho, so as was suggested in a previous post, you might as well go ahead and get the complete kit. Look for a Riva 510 starter kit at E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings The Riva batteries will run 6-8 hours on a charge for the average user.

You should be able to find a kit there with 2 complete Rivas, charger, and some attys or cartos for around $39.00 if you use the 20% discount button. This kit comes with a wall charger and USB connector, so you can plug it into the wall or your Mac.

As for the juice, well you can get some pretty decent stuff for around 50 cents per ml. That is any nic strength between 0 and 24mg usually.

The Riva should be compatible with the attys or cartomizers you are using now. (510 connectors)

Ahhh, I see! I thought when it said, "18mg" that it was the total amount of nicotine in the bottle instead of what you're inhaling from each cartridge. Now I know to go by ml. I am considering the 24mg kind pretty soon. Some of both, as you suggested. Thanks for clearing that up for me!

If you are wanting a larger battery for your Nicstick you are out of luck there but as several people mentioned you should really upgrade to a Riva or ego.

About the USB...You main concern should be about frying your PC. Most people here will not recommend charging your ecig on your PC. What you need is a USB wall charger rated at 2 amps. Have you looked into passthroughs? Now these are great. You don't have to worry about the battery running out EVER. You might not be able to use it at work but you can at home. And if you get an ego passthrough, you can unplug it and take it with you. With the others you are tethered to the wall adapter. Just a thought.

Fry my PC? How? I'm not very well educated on computers, but I think the absolute worst it could do is fry my power supply, which is very unlikely for a mac (correct me if I'm wrong). If this is an actual possibility, I need to know. Getting a mac fixed is very expensive, considering it has to be sent back. I'd have to pay for the part, shipping, and repair fee. Sometimes, both my brother and I hook both of our nicsticks up to my macbook overnight. I'll leave it in sleep mode hooked to the charger while the e-cigs charge. Again, if this is an actual concern, I need to know. I'll definitely upgrade to a better battery solution and perhaps a better e-cig very soon, regardless
