Batteries die very fast

I didnt know where else to go! I have 3 18650s and 3 18350.

YET! all of them seems to only last 45 minutes of vaping. I have an Nightcore Intelicharger i2. I just bought 4 new batteries thinking my old 2 were just crappy ones that came with a kit. But they die just as fast. 18350 last just as long as 18650. Im running 1.5 ohm coils in my evod. What am i doing wrong? I dont have a volt meter but its a new charger and brand new batteries.

Please respond to this with any thoughts on what this might be.
I just bought the two 18650's from madvapes, they are panisonic 18650 2900 mah. and the two 18350's are Efest IMR 18350. I got all of them and put on charger before i started to use for vape. They all showed one bar on my charger.

Sometimes it can be. You can try taking it into one of your local vape shops, and explain your problem to them, and they can check your device to see if there are any defects in it. Another thing you can do is try putting some dielectric grease on your button. If that doesn't make an improvement, just wait for your maraxus to come in to be able to test the batteries on another device.

Ok, they "showed one bar" on your charger. You mean that's all they showed after you left them in there to charge? It never moves beyond one lighted bar? If that's the case - and since it's a Nitecore we're talking about - chances are you have a crap charger.

The only way you can really tell what is going on here is to buy a meter and check the battery voltages. If the Nitecore never moves from showing one bar after charging for several hours, and the batty voltage is low - yeah, you gotta crap charger.

When you get the meter the other thing you want to check is the voltage coming off the battery terminals on the Nitecore with no battery in place. I've seen more than one report on ECF of a Nitecore crapping out with the voltage at the terminals being way over voltage with no load - measuring 6+ volts - and killing batteries that were being put in it.

Get an Xtar or Pila charger.

I let it get a full 3 bars, then i take it off and vape for about 1 hour and I notice a huge difference in performance so i put it on the charger to see where its at. Its always below that first bar. Im dead broke at the moment so i guess ill have to invest in yet another thing for vaping. This is becoming very expensive.

You definitely have a problem somewhere. Either bad batteries or charger or something is wrong with your mod. Unless you are sub-ohming (is that a word?) hard you should get several hours out of a fully charged 18650. Maybe take your stuff to local Vape shop and see if they can help you until you get a multimeter.

Do you have a DMM?

If so, what Voltage do the Batteries read when the Charger say they are Fully Charged?

I dont, Everyone says you need this and that. I got in this to save money and i need to buy countless number of things just to smoke. Multi meter, ohm meter, coils, liquid, batteries, chargers, mods. I can barely even pay rent. I thought Nitecore chargers were good? and only 2 of the 6 were in the kit and i know they are crap but they last just as long as anything. It seems my 18350 and 18650s are lasting the same amount of time. im running 1.5 ohm on 3.7v

I hear you. Things are Kinda Tight at the End of the Month for me Also.

Maybe one of your Friends, Family or Co-Workers might have a Multi-Meter you could Barrow?

It's Just Really Hard to know what is Going On until you can Verify that your Batteries are coming off the Charger Fully Charged. About 4.2 Voilts.

you mentioned that you are using a K100.... thats a mech mod, are you using the kicker that came with it??? or was the kit you bought the super saver kit without the kicker?

and as far as charging batteries... the Nitecore is a decient charger Ive had one now for a year... the batteries are fully charged when all 3 lites stay on, not flashing any more, as long as any of the lites flash it is still charging.

you keep mentioning that you are running at 3.7 volts Im assuming that you are using the kick. without a volt meter handy how did you set the kick to 3.7? and if the kick isnt being used, you then are doing full mech which explains why the batteries go so quick....

with the nitecore it usually takes about 4-6 hours to charge an 18650 (2000+ mah)

What brand battery are you using? (Surprised no one has asked.) If it's the el cheapo no name brand that normally comes with the K100, you don't want to be using those anyway.

    This!! :thumb:

There is a HUGE difference in the brand of batteries. Generic no-name batteries are crap and should be tossed in the garbage. Go with name brand IMR batteries, and stay away from anything with "fire" in the name.

Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or Protected ICR?
