This!! :thumb:

There is a HUGE difference in the brand of batteries. Generic no-name batteries are crap and should be tossed in the garbage. Go with name brand IMR batteries, and stay away from anything with "fire" in the name.

Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or Protected ICR?

This was in the OP's 1st Post.

Please respond to this with any thoughts on what this might be.
I just bought the two 18650's from madvapes, they are panisonic 18650 2900 mah. and the two 18350's are Efest IMR 18350. I got all of them and put on charger before i started to use for vape. They all showed one bar on my charger

and then Later this...

I let it get a full 3 bars, then i take it off and vape for about 1 hour and I notice a huge difference in performance so i put it on the charger to see where its at. Its always below that first bar. Im dead broke at the moment so i guess ill have to invest in yet another thing for vaping. This is becoming very expensive.

So I am Assuming that the OP is having problems with His/Her New Panasonic and eFest Batteries Also.

You can get a digital meter cheap at Harbor Freight, got mine free with their coupon, works just a well as my good one for volts and ohms. Sign up for their email coupons. About $7 or $8 normal.

I know what it's like being broke and on this forum. A lot of people here are serious enthusiasts, for them (and me) vaping is a hobby more than a smoking cession technique. and 'hobby' is just a modern term for: 'focused interest for wasting money.'

You don't need a fancy Fluke multi-meter for simply battery checks. and You don't need an ohms meter if you have a multimeter. multimeters can check resistance (ohms) too.

Also to @BunnyKillers point, are you using your K100 with a kick in it? If you don't have one or you lost it, you can get the basic kick that comes with some Kamry K100 kits for about $4 online. Or hell, I'll send you the one out of my k100, I rarely ever use it anymore and want to get a Kick2.

I didnt think it came with a kick, i thought it was a safety fuse.
The kicks i bought were more than $4!

I heard the kick can shorten a battery life. Not sure i never use mine.

I've heard it called a kick and I've heard it called a safety fuse... I think it really depends on where you buy it. either way, I think you're referring to the Evolv Kick (or Kick2) but he doesn't need that for his evod, especially if he's trying to save money.

I thought a kick regulated voltage/wattage. And a 2cent fuse kept you from shorting / electrocuting your self

I think you're technically correct, but someone else on this thread called it a kick, and I've seen it called a kick on some website that had it for sale. So I thought, that for the ease of the new vaper to follow along, I would use the same terminology.

BlackMagik, If you need a hand troubleshooting just let me know. I'm not that far from you(Apex). I also have a couple of 18650's that you are welcome to that I've taken out of rotation. There's nothing wrong with them, I just rotate them out at 5 to 6 months. Just let me know...Glad to help.

Right On NC_Fog.

That is a Nice thing to Offer.

Awesome :)

I don't think it is the batteries, I would lean toward there being an issue with the mod itself but to drain the batteries so quickly you would thing it would be pretty obvious. (Smoke, overheating, sparks) that kinda thing;-)
