Evolv requires you to use a cell with a legitimate mfg's CD rate of 20A or higher. For warranty purposes, I'd be inclined to follow the requirement... although at your 20 watt personal preference, you're certainly not going to come close to straining the 16 amp maximum output.

The HG2 has a 3000 mAh and is rated at 20A CD... so yes, you have a winner there. The 30Q, although it has a 3000 mAh rate as well, the mfg's CD rate of 15A doesn't meet Evolv's minimums.
Not that I'd recommend them, but... ECF member @Mooch tested the "Vapopower Green", mfg rated at 3000 mAh, and 30A. Although the latter is a gross exaggeration... technically, it qualifies.

But the ESquare is a dual parallel device......so, if it were me I would get a pair of high density 10A CDR batteries like:

1. Panasonic NCR18650GA 3500mAh
2. LG MJ1 if you can find them

Because, in parallel, since the amp draw is shared, two 10A batteries will give you 20A of discharge capacity and if you go with one of the above mentioned batteries, you also then get a whopping 7000mAh.

Of course, Flux's suggestions of the LG HG2 and Samsung 30Q are both perfectly suitable and exceedingly safe. And since they provide significantly more current "headroom", they should likewise maintain a higher voltage for longer throughout each usage cycle. And so, in practical terms, the capacities may not pan out to be that much different.

It's very close at those power levels...

Samsung 30Q lasts the longest, delivering about 2475mAh @ 5A
LG HG2, LG MJ1, and NCR18650GA all are very, very close to each other, delivering about 2300mAh at 5A.

But they're all within about 7% of each other so you might not see a difference between any of them in real world use.
