Should I wait till my battery is fully dead or stick it on a charger when I can see by its falling performance that its about to blink at me? I am currently using Ego-T 900 MaH batteries but I noticed all the batteries of all the types I have tried have "soften" a few minutes before the blink at me.

Charge 'em when ya have a chance or notice some drop off. They'll last longer (as per an ol' post buried in here some wheres).

Pretty much ambient temp.

We really don't stress these batteries at all in our pv unless we drain them completely constantly or keep them fully charged for long periods of time. I fly 1/4 scale RC Planes on 25v lithium poly packs at 120 amps peak with an average of 35 amps and as long as I take care of them I get a couple hundred cycles out of them. We should easily get 300+ out of these if taken care of.
