Either I have all of the bad luck with batteries or the bats for the 808 are not good. I've never had this kind of battery problems. It started with the XL auto battery not working right. Posted here with that problem, was told to PM Mark, which I did, then had a few emails and was told a replacement would be shipped the next day. Nope.

So while I waited for that to happen, I ordered 2 of the standard white no logo auto batteries. Got those today (actually Saturday), first one worked great. Grabbed the second one and nothing. The auto switch doesn't work at all. No LED glow, no vapor production, nothing.

I also kind of thought the replacement for the first bad battery might be included in this latest order, but no, it wasn't. Looks like the first replacement was forgotten about.

Four batteries ordered, 2 worked, 2 didn't. I can't afford this.

Yeah. I've been hoping a VP4L person would show up. Didn't want to answer this question.

Have you charged them?

I'm not a VP4llife person. Don't use them. However I live on this forum and if the Vapor for life people don't take care of you it will be the first time I've seen it.

Just do a chill and get in touch with them.

Call them, they will most certainly make it right. I have 7 or so batts from them, and I just had one die (manual xl button gave out) and that one was only about 5 weeks old, but I just left a note in my latest order, so I am sure they will replace it - their warranty is the best in the business! They have been really busy lately, which may be why they missed replacing the one you left a note about, but don't be discouraged - they WILL take care of you! ;)

I recently started using some batteries I had ordered a few months ago, and thought one of them was totally dead. Found out it will work - if I blow in it first! :lol::lol: Had to do a "reverse primer puff" each time I wanted to take a hit. I let them know on my last order and received a replacement. It's a crazy time of year and they've just recently started getting shipments on a more regular basis, with Leaford over there cracking the whip. They will take care of you and I'm sure they're very sorry you are not happy at the moment. I'd advise giving them a call versus PMs or emails at this point. :)

My hubby has the same problem. We ordered from another company and they are totally inferior to this product. Had to blow on them to glow and then they quit charging at all. So I found these and heard only good reviews so we placed an order. It was over during the CHristmas rush and they finally arrived 12-22-09 at 5pm, took 7 days to get to FL. He has been happily using this product since then. Now this morning a battery will NOT charge no matter what. I sent out an email to customer service and they said will send with next order. I am not ordering any time soon, need to see how these really work over a few weeks. I have since re emailed and asked to just get a replacement for now. I am sure they will make good on this.

I am certain the replacement was shipped on Wednesday via First Class mail. If you do not have it tomorrow, please give me a call and we will get it straightened out.

If you just let them know you will not be ordering again shortly they will send one out, it's just cost effective to include it with the next order if you are ordering before too long. Considering they don't ask you to mail it back to receive a replacement and I order regularly it works great for me!

Thanks for responding Mark, I appreciate it. BTW, I hope you are feeling better!

I'll see what shows up Monday. There was an order shipped on 12/23 (wed), but it was a different order I had placed overnight on 12/22, and I received that one on 12/26. I'm not sure if that is the one you may be thinking of.

The 12/22-12/23 order is the order that included the other defective standard white no logo 808 battery that doesn't work at all (I ordered 2 of them)...well it will take a charge LOL. This second bad battery is what actually enduced me to post again because I can't believe my luck that 2 of the 4 bats that I bought are defective.

I know I am a new customer and have only placed 4 orders, although that is a high amount for me considering my first order was on 12/9. 4 orders in 2 weeks, I must be sick! :p
But since I am new and not one of your long-term customers, I will be more than happy to return this latest bad battery (the white no logo 808-D bat). The last thing I want to have happen is for doubts to set in with this 50% failure rate I am experiencing. However, I can't return the XL auto bat as I tossed that one in the garbage and it's long gone.

Another possibility is, I have one last vacation day to take this year and I'm not that far away. I'm just across the IL/IN border along I-80, basically a Chicago suburb, so perhaps a road trip may be possible to return the latest bad battery.
