Hello
I was wondering if this would be a good setup with my Nemi mod running at .6ohm:
Efest 18650 30a purple battery
xtar VP1 charger

I need some explaining aswell. When i bought my nemi mod, it said that i should only use IMR batteries, then it said only use a kick with the IMR batteries. Can somone please explain everything about this, including what a kick is.
thanks

For subohm builds, the 30A batteries are a must and so you're fine with your battery choice. Don't know anything about the charger.

You should only use IMR batteries with a mechanical mod...period. Using a kick or not. What they are really saying is "Do not ever use an ICR battery in your mod."

A kick is a small round circuitboard that sits between the battery and the atomizer. It is purely optional and you do not need it. It adds regulation and variable wattage capabilities to your mech mod. They are made by Evolv.

This is my GUESS :)

The 18650 batteries have a typical output of 3.7 Volts, so we call them 3.7V. But they are actually charged to 4.2V. A mod that reads your voltage, or a multimeter would verify this on a charged battery.

Now the concern is "overcharging". Some chargers or batteries of lesser quality could continue charging the battery beyond 4.2 all the way up to 4.5 volts. By this point the battery would melt or explode....aka vent.
