Battery and charger question.

Hi all! I just got a Vapemail with a Vamo, nite core intellicharger i2, and a Panasonic cgr18650ch battery. According to the precautions in the charger instructions I'm told its restricted to charging Li-ion, NI-MH, and NI-CD batteries, where the site that I bought the battery lists the batteries chemistry as LI-MN/LI-Ion. Can I use the charger for this battery? Also, should I remove the clear plastic over the battery? Thanks for the help!

So, having searched google for answers, I found that orbtronic lists that charger as a recommended product for that battery. I've also been keeping an eye as the battery sits in the charger, and it's warm, but no where near hot. Unless you have more information for me, I think it's going to be ok. Still would like to know about the clear plastic over the battery though. It appears to have 2 wraps, the clear plastic, and the actual battery wrap with the battery info printed.

It's funny, how much this hobby reminds me of another hobby I've got. RC Helicopters! What charger to get for the batteries.

Yes, it is normal for a battery to get warm while charging. It's just Chemistry 101. You should get worried though, if it starts increasing it's diameter and length.... it's about to blow... just kidding, it shouldn't happen to this kind of battery! Only LiPo batteries have this tendency, as far as I know.
