I have read that the ego batteries are dodgy compared to other ones. I just charged my battery and when I unscrewed the charger there seemed to be bubbling liquid on the battery.....
Also just wondering how long does the nicotine hit take with 15mg juice......having a few moments of feeling a bit light headed/ panicky after vaping....maybe overdoing it ( used to smoke 15 -20 very thin rolled analogs until yesterday!)
Any advice much appreciated......
Thanks x

First off any time a battery bubbles any liquid at all especially after charging at all is a very bad sign , I would not use that battery at all if it was me and put it outside or somewhere outdoors away from anything flammable until it stops , was the battery hot after unplugging it ?

I have met a few people who have tried my vape with only 3mg nic that are 20 cig a day smokers and they have been light headed and odd feeling from it , my first half a week of vaping I would occasionally get it too, I figure that it's from the more efficient way your body receives the nicotine , I used to vape 24mg nic back when I got it but it all depends on how your body takes it , I would take it as a good sign that you may be able to step down a bit on your nic , you can get a small 15ml bottle of juice and try a lower nic and see if it works better for you

yah - if there is bubbling liquid ON the battery, time to replace it immediately - mikedin is spot on

nic level you use is not only going to be based on the amount/ type you previously were smoking, but the type of atomizer/ coil resistance you use also - i believe general recommendation for a pack a day smoker using an ego pen type setup (1.8ohm coil or thereabouts) is in the 12mg nic range... that was where i started, but i moved pretty quickly to a sub ohm setup (using a .5ohm coil) and dropped to 6mg nic almost immediately (sub ohm setups deliver a bit more bang for your buck, nicotine-wise)

hope this helps - please stay safe

Where exactly are you seeing this bubbling liquid?

Liquid in the 510 (threaded) connection is most likely ejuice.

I think this is the more likely answer here.. An eGo battery is more likely to expand/catch fire than bubble battery acid. The chemistry isn't quite the same as, say, an Alkaline (like AA's) battery, and you'd be hard-pressed to make one bubble/leak battery acid.

In fact, it might be entirely impossible for Lithium chemistry batteries to "leak" battery acid.

Hi Thanks for your replies, the bubbling was right on the end, the bit that screws into the charger, it did kind of look the same colour as my ejuice so maybe there was just a bit on the end of the battery when I plugged it in to be charged.......it was not hot and I have only had a week or so......I am not sure how many ohms the atomiser has , it is a ce5 clearomiser---the whole ohm, sub ohm thing is confusing me to be honest! thanks for your replies though....I am now using a different battery...

It is common for ejuice to collect there and it MUST be cleaned regularly. Use a q-tip, paper towel or tissue to keep this area clean.

eta: I suspect your ce5 is 1.5 to 2 ohms. Sub-ohm is anything below 1 ohm, your Ego batteries are not designed for sub-ohm vaping.

Ah Ok, many thanks....
just got some new coils and they are 1.8 ohms...can anyone explain what is better/different about sub-ohm vaping?
Still finding a craving for analogs after day 3 ( down from 20 + a day to 4 or 5 though).....
Also just bought some sample flavours...put the first one in and not too keen...can I just tip it out and put a new one in...sorry for all the questions and thanks for the support

Yes you can, the 1st few puffs will taste a little blehhh!!! but then the 2nd flavor will start to come out. If you have any vape shops near you, they may have a tasting bar where you can sample some different flavors to find what you like. What Mg Nic are you using? You may need a higher nic to stay off analogs and then gradually step it down.

Wow 36 is high, what set-up are you using? Maybe you should sub-ohm so you get a harder hit and can lower the nicotine. What exactly do you miss about smoking? the smoke, the taste? Maybe if you figure out what you miss about smoking you can adjust your vape to something you will enjoy more. Just a thought;)
