Not sure how the company would respond to your e-mail question, but my guess would be something like "our batteries are only compatible with Bedford Slims cartridges", which may be true but likely isn't. Worst case, you should be able to find a coupler to fit your Bedford Slims to cartridges of your choosing.

When folks talk about threading, they're speaking of the physical dimensions of the thread, yes. Though with regards to "the way the electricity works", you do need to be careful with polarity when charging your batteries - so if you find a brand of cartridges that will fit into your Bedford Slims battery, you _SHOULD NOT_ also use that brand's charging devices to charge your Bedford Slims battery.

This will help:
Does your battery have male or female threading? Do the cartridges from Bedford Slims have male or female threading? In other words: do you screw the cartridges into the battery, or the battery into the cartridges?

I screw my battery into the cartridge.

To those wiser than me about this kind of thing, the following video shows a battery from this brand name uncoupled from the cartridge, at about the 45second to 1 minute mark.

To me, it does not look like a 510 as the battery is the male coupling... anyone else with a thought?

You shouldn't need a 510 battery if it's an 808 thread (They won't work together without an adapter)

They're reply is a little odd actually. 808 and 510 are different, non-compatible threads. So when they say "A 510 with 808 threading" it just makes no sense (at least to me).

Threading is not just the diameter, but also pitch and spacing of them. I can't find it now, but there's a datasheet kicking around with all the common thread info on it.

Lol Recidivus, I crossed posts with you :) I completely agree it doesn't make any sense saying it's a 510 with 808 threading.

Hiya Chrissy. :) This came up recently with another obscure pv. That was 510 battery with RN4081 threading. Seems they call the batts 510s for some reason. It is confusing. The actual threading isn't 510 on these Bedford Slims - so he will have an 808 thread. From looking at the video it's not 510.
