Battery Charger Buzzes?

Hello everyone! I have been vaping for a while now, originally with a Vamo V2 and soon hopefully with a Sigelei Zmax V5 that I recently ordered.

I want to upgrade my stash of batteries, but before I do I am nervous about my charger. It has worked fine for 6+ months and charges my 18650s overnight, but whenever it is plugged in it makes a "buzzing" sound.

Is this a bad thing? Can a charger ruin future batteries, even if I haven't noticed a problem in the 6+ months?

I don't care about fast charging or charging five batteries at once, I just want to make sure I don't screw up the batteries which then screws up my mods.

Thank you in advance for any response.

I have heard of this happening before and know of no-one who has had an issue.

What charger is it? Do you have a spare charger?

I never charge batteries while I sleep or leave the house. Even the best charger can fail and that can lead to a battery fire.

I think this one will be my spare as this thread convinced me to get a new one.

Good point, never thought of that thank you. I charge overnight all the time.

I've had buzzing chargers before. I think they were Trustfire. The Nitecore I-4 intellicharger is the fastest and best I have ever owned. Only $20, too!

What he said!! ^^^ to answer your question! YES, your charger can destroy your batteries and possibly even cause them to violently burn and even explode! Get the Nitecore I-4 Intellicharger and you'll be happy and safer! at a cost of about 1-2 batteries, it's the way to go and has circuitry that detects battery type and charge level and adjusts it's output accordingly. Best on the market for the $ without a doubt!
As a general rule of thumb for batteries and chargers: Stay away from any products with the word "fire" in the name!

Thank you for the advice. Turns out the mod I just got came in a kit with three batteries, so I am set on batteries and need a charger. I will buy the one you recommend off Amazon!

Thank you for all the advice everyone, this forum is very helpful!
