I was doing some cleaning, and making room to hook up the newest battery charger when my order gets in, and realized I have 4 chargers now

Is it best to keep batteries on the charger or charge and then remove?
I have just kept them on, so I can easily see which ones are charged and they are always ready

But will this practice reduce battery life measurably?

Thanks

I have no idea, but I take them out of the charger. I just assume metal on metal contact is not good for batteries, so I remove them. You can put them in small ziploc bags and write on the bag when they were last charged, or whatever you like. I keep them in battery cases after charging so I know they are ready to go with me.

Depends on the charger. Some, if not most, chargers continue with a small trickle charge after the LED turns green. This can result in battery voltage exceeding 4.20.

Lithium batteries do not take well to over charging. Continually over charging will lead to shorter battery life. And if the battery voltage gets much over 4.23, can lead to a dangerous situation. Too dangerous to rely on the protection circuit, IMHO.

are there hazard concerns in keeping them on the charger? using AW protected batteries exclusively

The only charger that I know about is the Pila IBC and it terminates the charge at the end of the cycle. It will not over-charge the battery. (I still remove the battery when I notice it has finished charging though.)
