Searched around and couldn't find a simple answer. About to order a battery charger for my 14500 900mAh batteries, and it has 2 charging options.

Was wandering which voltage (3.6v and 4.2v) is safe to charge a 3.7 battery on.

Could I charge a 3.7 batt to 4.2 without any worries? Is it safe? Would it trip the PCB to charge it that high?

(Sorry for all the questions & TIA for answers)

The 14500 batts are 3.7v batteries, which should be charged UP TO 4.2v. At 4.2v they are considered fully charged. If you are only charging them up to 3.6, it's basically only giving them about a 20% charge. The 3.6v setting is for the 3.0v batts

This is what I needed to know, thank you. I had assumed this, but needed to verify.
