Looks like you got the best answers possible, Lochte, but I'll chime in anyway... LOL
The built in safety systems will prevent overcharging, so there is little risk... however systems fail from time to time, so it is generally considered bad practice to leave any lithium-ion battery charging without supervision. (This includes cell phones, laptops, mp3 players... most modern battery powered electronics)
