Battery charging

How long do you charge your classic and 901 batteries?
The book for the 901 says 4 hours. I have no book for the classic.

I've been giving them 4 or 5 hours.

I charge mine until the green light comes on. I have not had a battery issue yet that was attributed to the charging. I have been using the same 4 pen-style batteries for a month and a half. I also sometimes recharge them at my convenience and very seldom use them to the point of the "low-charge" indication. Lithium Ion batteries do not have a "memory" effect and can be charged at any point (based on my limited research).

How long do you charge your classic and 901 batteries?

At very minimum I give my 901 batteries 4 hours. Even if the green light comes on before that. I believe the charger slowly keeps topping them up even when green light shows. Always give 8 hour charge first time on new batteries.

According to my (limited) research, Lithium ion batteries do NOT do well with top-offs. My ... assumption would be that the chargers do not trickle-charge or top off the battery.

Again, just an assumption on my part based on research from the internet. I'd be happy if trog could jump in here. I am by NO means the expert, and from what I read, he's probably a good authority on the batteries.
