Hi,
I recently purchased a mech mod clone to start getting in to mech mods.
Everything worked fine, i did probably 50 puffs or less with a rda running a 0.6 ohm self made coil.
But after a couple of hours when i tried to vape the battery was dead.
The battery is a LG HG2 18650 NEW, only recharged it 2 times and when i insert it on the mech mod was fully charged.

Now if i try to recharge it, it just doesn't charge.. the led stays green and stop. I tried to put it on a regulated mod and it doesn't work.

Can someone help me to figure out what did happen?

Also, sorry for my english and if im not on the correct section.

Thanks in advance

I tired to recharge the battery with 2 different chargers and also through a regulated box mod via usb cable.. nothing happens.
I got the batteries from a well known local store which already sold me 3 sony vtc6 and other 2 lg hg2 working batteries.
I don't have a volt meter so didn't try that..
I tried to run it on an original 70$ vapor flask box mod but still nothing.
The other batteries works perfectly (atm).
Thats a real mistery for me..

or just toss it as others have said many times before $5 or so is not worth taking a chance with safety.
I think that's what im going to do..
But now Im worried about trashing other batteries in to a mech mod... Maybe it's the problem?
How do i know if i "over-drained" the battery?
I was using a 0.78 ohm coil with a clone dripper and also a 0.6 ohm coil with an ijoy tornado rta.

The only way to know for sure is to check it with a volt meter when you remove it from the mod, or to use a charger that displays voltage. If you're going to use a mech mod, you really should have one or the other.

That said, it's quite difficult to vape a battery down to the point where it can't be recharged in a mech mod because it won't hit well long before then. I've been vaping mechanical bottom-feeding mods for nearly 3 years now and have never gotten close. Below about 3.5V, the vape is unacceptably weak.

I suspect one of two things: Either a defective battery, or the mod auto-fired the battery down to a voltage so low that your charger refuses to even try.
