I have three mini's. I'm having a problem with batteries. Two of the minis are less than two months old. I ordered the batteries from Provape at the same time. I charge them on two different Trustfire chargers until the light is green, but then when I put them in the mini, I get less than an hour of moderate use before the light is blinking. I'm using 2.4 C4 clearos on them at between 3.9 and 4.1. My original mini, that I've had for about a year, gets a lot more battery life than that.

When the light starts blinking, I go to Cb and it says 3.2 or so and then the light starts flashing quickly and no juice.

Any suggestions??

Definitely sounds like a problem with the batteries and/or the charger.

What size batteries are you using? How long do you usually let them sit on the charger before the light turns green? I'm getting at least a full day out of my 18490's and a day and a half out of my 18650's and I vape like a child in a... vape store?

I'm using the 18350's Provape sells for the mini. I bought the charger new from them, too, at the same time. They charge for a couple of hours before the light turns green.

I would get in touch with provape - there's no reason for an 18350 to be giving you an hour or use especially at only around 4.0v

It shouldn't be a problem yet with new Provari's, but just the same look at the threading on the battery caps on the new Provari's. Is there any dark gritty material in the threads? If there is, oxidation of the bare threads has occured and may be affecting the electrical circuit. Some Noaloxx (an antioxidant and lubricant for metal threads) will remove it. It's good to have some on hand as part of a regular maintance on a Provari. Provape sells it in a tube as an accessory; you can also find some at most hardware stores like Home Depot or Lowe's.

I'm assuming the batteries in question are AW IMR's if purchased from Provape? Personally not a real fan of the cheaper chargers such as Trustfire. What have been the battery voltages of the batteries when taken out of the charger?

A Simple test you can do is to Buy a New 18350 Battery and see if it lasts Longer on Average.

If it does, then it sounds like your Old Batteries are at the End of their Life.

If it Doesn't, then it sounds like it is your Charger.

I also did not like the cheapie chargers that were offered when I bought my Provari so I opted for a Nitecore I2.
In have a paranoia about being out and my battery dying...being left with no vape.

What are your opinions on that particular charger?

Thanks
Geo

I bought a Pila charger and a couple of AW IMR 18650 batteries about 1 year ago, and no regrets. The Pila is like the Provari of chargers. Extremely well built; it uses what at that time was special algorhythms to charge batteries which they claim can extend the life expectancy of your batteries. Is it true? Those two AW 18650 batteries are still going strong, good as new. They're in a rotation with 3 other AW 18650's now. The Pila can charge 18350's faster than the MP2.

I have an Xtar MP2 (two charging bays) for the several 18350's I use with my Mini Provari and a couple of other mods. Not a fan of the flimsy springs in the charging bays. I found that the two chargers weren't enough for all my battery needs, so I recently purchased an Xtar WP6 II (six charging bays) to help me keep up with all of my batteries. It was between it and Nitecore i4 (4 bays), and I chose the Xtar because I prefer the spacers over the sliders for ease of insertion/removal.

I did purchase a Nitecore i2 for my daughter. Wasn't impressed with the build quality or with those sliders (too stiff) compared to the Pila.

While I've played around with smaller batteries, I simply vape too much to use anything but 18650's. With both my wife and I using them, the WP6 II was the perfect choice here. Been using it for about 13 months now, and am still very plased. Bad is on target though, the spacers kind of bite. And the springs do appear to be cheap. I didn't expect them to last nearly as long as they have (knock on head).
