So I have been lurking here a while. I am a fairly skilled solderer. I disassembled my eGo 1000 mAh battery. Replaced circuit board with a larger push button switch and added an led and resistors for the led. Then while I was trying to push the battery all the way in with hemostats I punctured the battery. Can I reseal this somehow?
I still don't think I will have enough room in the tube because I have to add a charge port to the end. any thoughts? Where can I get these batteries(you know just the cell)?

Yea its kind of a silly rule. But their house, their rules. I wouldnt use that battery period. I know a guy thats big into RC aircraft and hed say the same thing. It funny cause an ad popped up on this thread. All-Battery.com: Total Power Solution for Every Battery Need Id check them out. I too am a electronics junkie and eventually plan on "re-celling" my own batteries. Its alot cheaper that way!

I've found a lot of cheap lion batteries on amazon... if you know the dimensions, height and width you should be able to buy some off any e-cig vendors and if they're too tall, remove the protection circuit (insert warning here about battery blowing up). Have you tried liquid electrical tape?

liquid electrical tape? I will be looking into that. I think I will just throw the cell out though. it is right by my face. I will try to find a smaller one. The plan is that the end will have the charge port and will serve as a vent...

I have been using old smartphone batteries. 1800 mAh. they are not round so I usually attach them with a wire to the screw in part for the atty.

Check out places like hobby king. They have cheap RC batteries and they are made of of packs of round cells. You might be able to get several batteries at once for real cheap.
