Hi guys & gals, can anyone point me to a good local battery supplier or is it best to travel up to get the very elusive flat head type of battery. Admin if this is inappropriate your kind warning is most appreciated.

batteries can be found locally. I'll recommend you to get an AW IC protected 18340/500/650. They are black in color and very safe for use. I use the 18500 personally. Just do a google search and you'll find yourself looking at a flashlight shop found locally.

Batteries are normal items. So dun worry :)

I got 2 korean made from a mall locally. Sucks big time. Discharge really fast and takes forever to charge.

Suggestions get the red ones or the sony ones. Dun get trustfire. They take forever to charge as well

Yeah, I started with a Trustfire from across the border....after that, I only trust AW or Efest. Both of which is available locally. :)

my suggestion is get the red ones. get the black one at your own decision. I wanna save a few $$ that time, bought the black ones, cmi la.

but end of day, up to u

oh if u can get sony (green ones), u can get. very stable battery

The black ones are more stable than the red ones.

AW red batteries are IMR batts, safe composition batteries. They are less likely to explode in the event of a short.

AW black batteries are IC protected batts. They are not safe composition, more likely to explode. But they have a built in IC chip that regulates the current discharge. In the event that your mod is not safe to fire (eg 0.2ohms), the batt will refuse to fire. The IC chip prevents a short from occurring, so where is the Likelyhood of it exploding.
Sony VTC5 are probably the better batts around, if you disregard the LG 35A batts. They allow much lower resistance of around 0.2, though it's not unheard of to go below that.

IMO, AW IC protected batts are the best mass market batts available. Sony, LG, Panasonic are more niche market batts.

So far i see only red n black for 18350 never see any green one. They have too?

The green batts are either LG or sony IIRC. They only have those high current batts in 18650. 18350 limited to AW, EFEST and other small brands. Maybe you'll have luck with yellow black colored nitecore.
