Anything under 26 gauge takes a little time to warm up (larger wire = needs more time to heat up). I still use 28 gauge all the time for a quick vapor production. I don't quite exactly chase clouds, so others will be more helpful than me on this one. You could always check out Rip Trippers on Youtube. Great place to start even if he makes a lot of crazy builds you probably won't want to try right away. Just watching him is learning a lot already. Also, read all you like on here, there's a ton of information.
