I've also seen the 300 number for average charge cycles, but according to what I read on the Battery University site, this means 300 FULL charge/discharge cycles ... if you are charging up when the battery is not fully discharged to its safe discharge limit (which, for the battery under discussion, is about 3.5V, I think), that does not count as a "full" charge/discharge cycle. In fact, most Li-ion batteries like being topped up frequently as opposed to full draining before a charge. I keep a detailed spreadsheet on all my batteries, and I have several AW IMR 18650s (2000mAh) that are well over a year old and still taking a full charge and still delivering more than a full day of vaping between each charge. YMMV, of course, but if you take reasonable care of your batteries and use a good charger (I prefer the XTar VP1), they should easily last a year of normal use. Congratulations, too, on choosing the AW ... this is, overall, the most dependable performer of all my 10A batteries. (I haven't tried any of the new 30+A batteries, so can't comment on those.)

I usually just recharge when the ProVari fire button starts blinking, indicating that the battery charge is getting low. Thanks very much for the info.

I do the same. The ProVari is excellent at keeping the battery (and you) safe. One further thing I might mention is the recommendation to let your batteries "rest" after they come off the charger. One hour should be adequate. Many battery outgassing events occur when the battery is freshly charged and immediately put under heavy stress with a high amp draw. Again, info from Battery University ...
