Hey guys/gals, I was wondering how often everyone gets new batteries. Right now I switch between 2 sony vct5's. I've dated both, but don't know when to replace them. I've heard some say after a year? But if I'm vaping sub ohms I'm swapping batteries more often. Eventually I plan on getting some more 18650's and then cycle between 4 when these are 6 months old to be safe. Any suggestions? What do you guys/gals do?

I don't use a mechanical as my all day everyday go to gear, I use a MVP2 BUT I do use my mech's at night and on the weekends; basically anytime I won't be away from the house (fresh battery) for a few hours. So... I have 6 batteries I keep in rotation for my mechanical's and I hope to get 2+ years out of them based on a 300 charge cycle. I may be a little optimistic but we'll see.

There is the "guy in a labcoat" response. I would say just follow your instinct, ie "i used to get 40 good hits before i noticed a drop off, now i only get 15. Time for this battery to go.
Mostly its he same type of battery from a cell phone and they give those about a two year lifespan, but we tend to stress our batteries a little harder than that . I try to cycle my batteries into a regulated device where i can check on its charge status through the course of a day and see if it still holds up
